As of the opening weekend, Layne Harnishfeger from Franklin County was at 195 and is staying there all season and Garrett Hittle from Rushville will also be at 195 this season. -

After watching McCloskey Friday night I thought he would win, but it's his own fault he lost...I'm not a McClurg fan but he did what he had to do to win and that's all that matters...yes I thought there were some bad calls as well, but that happens...hopefully McCloskey can get his next year

Also is there anywhere to find matches from the semi finals? I'm interested in watching some of those matches again...thanks

Agreed...the two that come to my mind are Allen at 195 and Garland at 285...both fourth at Semi State and both wrestled under the lights...not too shaby

Compare both of their high school careers...Sliga, assuming he wins out which I believe he will, has lost 4-5? Matches...Howe's only loss was in the finals match too Reece Humphrey by a point...I'm not saying Sliga isn't tough as nails, but I think Howe would beat him pretty easily

Injury default, but I don't know why...my guess is they didn't want to risk an actual injury since Sliga had already beat Nickell at the classic...just speculation though

He only major decisions Duckworth from Union County in the finals at state. He was 2 points away from a tech fall though...I would give the nod to Howe though seeing as Duckworth beat Sliga too...yes that was a couple of years ago but still something to go by

I don't think Gettinger beating James is a fluke...Gettinger is tough...depending on the draw I can see him wrestling under the lights next weekend!

McClurg wrestled well, but lets be honest, McCloskey should have been awarded an escape...there was no control at the end of that match

I hope Farrell wins, but Carsaro will give him a good match...as far as the state title, don't forget about Bradley either...I'm rooting for Farrell though...Joe will be ready...he wrestled extremely well on Saturday
