Does anyone know whether the Lawrence Central wrestling program has anyone on the past staff interested or will they hire from outside?

NORTHWESTERN has Everyone coming back next season. Plus gaining a Regional Qualifier from two years ago who was injured in the first dual of the year and a MS State guy who was out all year as a Freshman (Cole Cardwell) due to a ACL tear in football. We had 3 Juniors, Bodey Henry, Marcos Castorena, Kyle Cardwell & a Sophomore, Creason at Semi-State this year and 4 Freshmen (Bumgardner, Howell, Slate & Hershberger) who scored very well for us also returning.

Sitting on the bubble at #13 in 2A (Northwestern), hopefully we can get a little bit of a boost due to the injury factor for next season‘s team state. We had a returning Sophomore (Regional Qualifier / Silas Phillips) out of our lineup after his first match for the rest of the season due to an injury in our first dual.  Also an incoming Freshman / Cole Cardwell, who placed very high at middle school state the year before, due to an ACL injury in the last football game.  He would have made a huge difference in our lineup & scoring.

I realize every team had some sort of injuries this season but with us being so close to qualifying for team state without our best returning lineup, I thought I would mention it here.

Evan Cardwell (Sr.) - Northwestern will wrestle at 195.  He is a 2X SSQ.

Northwestern High School, located in Kokomo Indiana, is hosting a CIA Wrestling Camp on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30p. This camp will begin on March 16th and hopefully run through June and the first day will be "Free" to all wrestlers and the instructor will be with Coach Gurpartap Gill.

Thoughts and Prayers go out to Eastbrook's Christian Bratcher from the Northwestern Wrestling program. Just read the bad news and hope for a quick & successful recovery for both.

That is in line with what I thought, just wanted to get a little more clarification, thanks.

I have a question that I am unsure what the answer is. 

A wrestler receives a BYE in the first round of a tournament. The team receives advancement points as he/she advances through the bracket. I know that if he/she receives a forfeit, they earn a WIN on their record, but if he/she did receive advancement points when drawing a BYE, what is the reason why or why not he/she would not receive a WIN on their record.

Probably should already know this but I thought it is an interesting question.

Congratulations to Evan Ellis as he is a fantastic wrestler and even a better young man. 

I am sure Bremen is a really good position as we played them last year in the football sectional and they had athletes everywhere. I am really hoping to take over a program in Central Indiana if possible. Established or rebuild is okay with me as the rebuilding process is very rewarding for everyone involved.
