  1. I agree. Hopefully he (Cash) will be able to make a quick recovery and come back stronger than ever next year. Great kid and you never wish to see that happen to anyone.
  2. I felt like there were a lot of Franklin Community fans in the building. Everywhere I went it seemed like I saw someone with a Franklin shirt on and every time one of their wrestlers was announced there was a pretty decent roar.
  3. I think this is one of those weight classes where if you wrestled the tournament 4 times, you would get 4 different champs. It's about as wide open as it gets. It's all about who shows up ready to win a title this weekend.
  4. I think it's about time IU starts looking in another direction. He's been there a long time and has had some success in the past, but that was the past. What did work obviously hasn't been working the past few years.
  5. I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned Alex Sparks from Lawrence North. A great wrestler as well as a great kid. He had some bad luck with his draws at Semi-State. In my opinion, had he gotten better draws, he could have definitely been top 8 multiple years. But, that's just the luck of the draw I suppose. :
  6. That's very unfortunate to hear. You hate to see that happen to any athlete, but especially to not only a great wrestler but a great kid as well.
  7. I think the 106 title is Red's to lose, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a few different guys take it. It'll definitely be fun to watch to see how it plays out. It'll all come down to who's better than who on that specific weekend. Anything can happen.
  8. This is a very well put together documentary and a truly amazing story. This should be sent in to ESPN for them to show during their E:60 segments!
  9. Forgot to bold Matt Powless from Indiana. Highest Indiana native placer at the Big Ten's this year.
  10. Here's my take on the whole celebration thing. If you win a state title, then I think you're entitled to celebrate however you wish. I personally love seeing the celebrations after the title matches. It's fun to see their facial expressions after realizing they just won a state title. It's cool to see their emotions come out all at once.
  11. I don't know if I'm the only one to think this, but I like Hanover Central's shiny powder blue singlets. Howe wore them all four years as well as Petrov the year he wrestled Phillips under the lights. It's not a color you see everyday.
  12. If I'm not mistaken, one of the McGinley's from Cathedral did the same type of thing with a special needs kid from Roncalli. I remember reading something on the board a few years ago and thought it was very classy and awesome of him to do. Stories like this are just great to see. Very awesome!
  13. Jeff Jordan's State Champ camp is a great one to mention. It's a week-long camp and you learn a ton of different technique while there. They also put you some pretty intense drilling sessions as well as some of the most grueling live sessions. Plus, you get a variety of the best wrestler's around to work with.
  14. When Ethan Harris won his state title at 112, him and Wise from Warren wrestled in the championship all all four weekends in a row.
