  1. Just a bump....post....hoping some progress is being made, still havent seen any Freestyle/Greco State Videos...
  2. Anyone know the link or where to find the videos from ISWA Freestyle and Greco State from this weekend? Thanks
  3. Unfortunately I was out of the Country and missed the High School State Finals...can anyone point me to the videos?
  4. Two simple questions to throw out to anyone who has a clue... 1) Are any or all of the finals matches streaming so we can catch the ones we miss while in the other room ? 2) Why is there never a true second in the ISWA events...its only one more match? How many times do we have to see a kid lose one match all day, to the kid who eventually wins the weight, and come in third without ever facing the 2nd place wrestler...How about a shot to finish a true second?
  5. Good discussion, bottom line, Indiana teams rocked it in Tennessee! It just leaves one to wonder if we truely had the best of the best on one team, could Indiana have won the whole thing...maybe, maybe not...but my guess is if the Gold team wrestled the Outlaws it would not have been a sweep...thus, we didnt have the best possible team out there representing the state...and why are there so few wrestlers from south, like Evansville, or North, like the region, or Crown Point....yet every time state roll around you see these kids battling for podium spots...all in all, great results for Indiana, but room to grow and food for thought....whoever came up with a developmental team was genius also...just getting those kids exposure could be huge in years to come...
  6. Wow! Doing well! Shame we have two separate great teams with Gold & Outlaws....could have one amazing team...Plus kids wrestling for Ohio in Iowa and kids at Nuway...if they could all get on the same page Indiana could prove just how good we really are...Maybe they should have a selection committee, members from various areas, voting, etc...rather than a few great wrestlers here, a few there, a few studs on this team, a few on that team... Maybe someday...Go Team Indiana / Go Outlaws!
  7. How do we get individual, team and round by round results.... :
  8. Just checked Track...numbers looking scarce with 24 hrs to go, seemed pretty big last year...whats up with that...is it the matside weigh-in? the location? the prizes/medals? seems to be a huge drop-off from last year... Disappointing...
  9. Out of town, anyone know if they video the two days of championship/Final round matches for Folkstyle State, I only see last years stuff on Indiana mat.... ???
  10. First, I'll admit not being an expert on this info., however, I don't believe HYWAY calls anything nationals, NUWAY is, the way I understand it the national youth wrestling association, made up of hyway, myway, ohway, paway, etc...so, when they NUWAY" host an event, and allow teams from all over the country, PA, OH,IN,MI,TN,IL, etc...it is a "national event"...so it makes sense to me...I'd you allow wrestlers from all over the country and they have to qualify by winning or placing in some local event...you are a National event...doesn't sound like a scam to me...look at ISWA duals for example...you have to live within a 30 mile radius of your club, be in state, community based event....not that there is anything wrong with that, but that is far different than the NUWAY National duals...teams from all over the country, all over each state....hence...it's a National.... I just looked up NUWAY Nationals too....seems for that you must qualify by placing in ohway, midway, myway, Paway state....so again, you have a qualifying, and you have participants from numerous states....so, "National".... I like the ISWA events, but after awhile, seeing the same kids every weeks for years...I personally like going to all the NUWAY, HYWAY, USAW, OHWAY, Boarder Wars etc....
  11. I totally understand what you are saying, but there has to be some rules, some boundaries, or the clubs that do participate will drop out....why? Because why wrestle a match with a club kid roster verse an all-star team....I know what you are saying is not intended to promote all-star teams, or you don't believe it "constitutes" an all-star team, but lets be serious...do you honestly think if Red Cobra, CIA, Contenders, Hoosier Elite, etc...sat down and could put together any team and enter, regardless of where the kids are from, any school/community club could compete with that....the answer is simple...no...but that is the end result...no limit on boundaries, no specific number of wrestlers, and its no longer a "community based event," its an all star team with 2-3 kids from Indy, 2-3 kids from Evansville, 2-3 kids from Crown Point, 2-3 kids from Bloomington...again, not suggesting you are promoting this...but that is simply what happens...Again, I am not saying that is your goal...but once you throw rules like this out the window...its an all-star game...better suited for Christmas Duals and events like that...
