  2. for competition and to see where you're at! why wrestle a kid you can major when you can actually get some competition?
  3. if you major a kid the first time you wrestle, and then bump up to wrestle a state champ the next time.... that wouldn't be considered "ducking"... that would actually be the opposite of "ducking"
  4. it's not proof, it's simple common sense dude. you think all of these stud wrestlers just randomly decided to move and coincidentally all ended up at CP around the same time? recruiting is everywhere... that's just reality. to accuse carmel of recruiting and turn around and defend CP does not make you look smart. you're off your rocker
  5. You're in absolute denial if you honestly believe that CP didn't recruit all of those wrestlers... I'm not saying Carmel doesn't recruit swimmers... they probably do... but CP most definitely recruited those wrestlers... it's borderline idiotic to say they didn't
  6. my guess is Carmel will be one of the top teams in the state in a couple years… and they'll stay there as long as that head coach stays there
  7. i really like the way you broke it down like that! That clearly shows that anywhere you go, there are going to be some awesome weights that unfortunately leave out some very talented kids.. with these weight classes being as stacked as they are, and add in the factor of the random semi state draw.. i wouldn't be surprised to see some top 5 kids go down at semi state
  8. I actually said "state" experience... not "start" experience...
  9. in your opinion, what are some of the toughest weights at each semi state this year? I noticed multiple weights where some real tough kids won't be making it to state due to the strength of the semi state... some of the tougher weights i noticed are: 120 at ft wayne looks extremely tough! 113 and 120 at Evansville both look real solid... 126 at merrillville looks pretty tough. 120 at new castle is looking tough as well! I can't believe how many 120 pounders there are with state experience!
  10. have these guys wrestled yet today? they were suppose to wrestle round 1 at 9 o'clock right?
  11. yeah i guess you're right... if James finishes one of those shots it's a completely different match. i guess i was surpried that Lykins looked that good. I would have thought James would have dominated. Lykins is a lot better than i thought he was
  12. I was surprised to see Lykins win in such dominate fashion... definitely made me change my thought process on this weight. If Wilson ends up at 32, he's my pick to win it
  13. who would you have if lecount bumped up?
  14. yeah i would have Lecount or Forte as 4 or 5 point favorites if one bumped up...
  15. yeah I would think the same thing... if the match isn't close I would guess someone would change
  16. do you think they'll both end up at this weight come state?
  17. Kelley is probably one of the most athletic kids I've seen wrestle... One of the best scramblers around
  18. where did you see these updates? I've been looking for them and couldn't find them...
  19. Walker scored that takedown from my view in the stands.... that firemans was beautiful!
  20. Top 4 in order... 106: Lee, Pepple, Glogouski, McCormick 113: Knapp, Gayfield, Miller, Rigney 120: Phillips, Moser, Wilson, Lutter 126: Crume, Walburn, Cardenas, Kern 132: Baysinger (the dudes on fire) Krumlauf, Fiechter, Shipley 138: Carroll, Loe, Ellinger, McCray 145: Walker, Randolph, Jolas, Smith 152: Bradley, Brummet, Gaddis, Echert 160: Hiestand, Malcolm, Tredway, Hammersley 170: Lefever (been smoking all year!) Adams, Linnear, Reed 182: Busse, Evans, Pfister, Hazelet 195: Garringer, Ross, Green, Richardson 220: Miller, Wilson, Nicodemus, Wilson 285: Hemmelgarn, Beard, DeMuyt, Travis not very familiar with the heavier weights.... Can't wait for a good day of wrestling!
  21. Eli walker beat Josh Ferrell, Blake Rueger and Trevor Manspeaker... I'd say he has the potential to do big things next year!
  22. Hate to say I told ya so.... But I told ya so. Lovejoy wins by pin
  23. It's tourney time man, you know crazy things can happen! I was just throwing in some upsets to see if I could get a couple right
