  2. Micic Forte Kenny Hughes Stevenson Hurford Robinson I also think that Sinko, Drew Hughes, and Hartman have legitimate shots as well at a state title. I could be wrong but I will say AT LEAST 5 state champs will come out of Merriville
  3. I believe Escobedo's two losses are both to Ferdig. First at the dual meet and then at the Washington super dual. 7-0 at the dual and then a pin at the super dual. I know these matches were both early in the season, but I don't see Ferdig losing this match.
  4. The wrestler at the Rochester regional that is being discussed was out of line with his actions after the match. He should not have given the finger to the Mishawaka crowd. He should have maintained his composure and acted with class. That being said, I want to defend him. He takes a lot of crap from the crowd, every single match. Whether it is warranted or not, nearly everyone in the crowd cheers against him or even boos him. As it is mostly adults in the crowd, I think this is awful and unnecessary. He is a high school kid. Why are adults feeling the need to demoralize this kid every time he steps on the mat? Yes, he has asthma. Yes, he probably uses his injury time too much. But give the kid a break. He is a good wrestler who has put up with a lot of crap the last four years. You don't have to like him or cheer for him. But don't boo him.
  5. brooks boot scoot and super duck are pretty cool to watch
  6. Jared just won a state championship in a dominant fashion, and all these people want to bash him on here. How about you let the HIGH SCHOOL KID have his moment and leave him alone.
  7. lol I thought they were saying...juiiicccccceeeee
  8. 106: Micic 113: Brooks 120: Todd 126: Ayersman 132: Mckinley 138: Jackson 145: T-shirt 152: Mullins (Idk much about this weight, so just going with the obvious favorite) 160: Stevenson 170: Willis 182: Lynde 195: Berry 220: Robinson, Gallegos, Kral...could be anyone of those 3 285: Stauffer After this weekend at Merrillville I changed my 106 and 182 picks...Lynde is a monster. and Micic will give Boston a great match. Also 220 is up for grabs...although I will say the winner is gonna come from the merrillville semi state!
  9. I've seen both wrestle this year, and very impressed with both. I'll take Micic 6-5, based on last years match at state and micics weight gain
  10. yeah, youre right, I remember that! Berry and Sliga should have a great match this year!
  11. no, berry lost to goldman first round saturday, so the best he could do was fifth. sliga got knocked out in the semis by stevenson i think
  12. We'll see for sure this weekend but I do not see Berry getting beat. His only loss the past 2 years was to the state champ Garrett Goldman 1-0. This year he has had 28 first period pins out of 29 matches. At merrillville, he was maybe on the mat a total of 3 minutes in 4 matches against solid competition. The guy is a monster.
  13. 106: boston vs micic 126: ayersman vs phillips 132: mckinley vs molloy 160: harvey vs stevenson vs johnson 195: sliga vs berry hopefully the draws work out so these matchups happen under the lights!
  14. I didn't even understand why there was a question! he clearly signaled 1 for an escape, then 2 takedown
  15. 106: Boston 113: Brooks 120: Todd 126: Ayersman 132: Mckinley 138: Jackson 145: Tsirtsis 152: Mullins 160: Stevenson 170: Willis 182: Hurford 195: Berry 220: Kral 285: Stauffer
