just saw where Davison has officially pulled out.
That's too bad. Any idea why? Still licking their wounds from last week?

Mater Dei sadly didn't attend this event for quite a stretch of time, including 2015-2017 (plus many others) so not sure this really strengthens your argument. Plus, 6 years ago you are forgetting about a really strong set of seniors at MD last year and another state champ (and a Lee that didn't compete 2 years ago). Not sure they would have beat MD at that time.
I'm not sure any of this matters 6 years later. Brownsburg is the obvious favorite heading into team state followed by Crown Point. MD has some very strong individuals but a long way to get to the level of BB or CP.

Castle may have 2 State Champs this year . Purdy is a beast and KT Nelson is on another level . Good luck to both of these young men .
I would agree with that statement. Both will be at or very near the top of the heap

132 has same kid listed 2x. who wins that matchup?
Obviously the one ranked 15th wins a tight one.

Somebody needs to go, notebook and pen in hand and get the proper results listed here!
Maybe Hook and a Half will take care of that.

I'm sure it will. Should be a good one.

Central time , I take it?
yes

I'm sure that had an impact on them as well, but with Baumann, Hayhurst and a varsity 182 in place I suspect the score would have been much different. We took falls at 145 and 182 which I don't think would have happened.

I am surprised by Mater Dei and Trinity's score. Seems a bit closer than it should be. Trinity is ranked around 6 in Kentucky. Anyone have individual results?
MD wrestled without Brody Baumann which certainly doesn't help and our football players had exactly one week from the state title game to the first meet. We also had a JV 160 wrestling 182 because of football players not having time to get down to weight or enough practices in to wrestle. I wouldn't put too much in that score. Give it a few weeks until the weights fall into place.

Silas Allred won his senior year with all falls I believe
That has to be the all time greatest.

who dropped out? Can someone confirm the 5 teams involved as of now?
-
I would assume the meet begins at 9:00 AM. I can't imagine it starting at 7.

Thinking about going to Castle. Generally, a lot of talent there. Will it be dominate?
Without question. I’ll be there. Look me up if you go

Did Egli and Zirkelback match up?
They did not. Egli wrestled 120 all day and looked great as did Zirkelbach at 126. I’m sure at some point they will face off to see who the world’s most dominate wrestler is

Congratulations Coach Ferguson! Nice accomplishment

Got any idea what weight Purdy will be wrestling?
195. He's huge

Should be Bloomington South, Avon, Jasper, Jeffersonville, MD and Castle if I'm not mistaken. There will be a few good matchups. Purdy vs. Sollars headlines the list. Any others? I don't know anything about the other teams at this point.

May wrestled 152 on Saturday
Looks like with May wrestling at 152 and Phillips up to 170 somebody got their wish. Still a loaded class.

Not sure about all the weights but I’ll give it a try.
106- Schafer 9
113- Seng 11
120- Egli 12
126- Folz 10
132- Vanover 10
138- Hermann 11
145- Hayhurst 12
152- May 10
160- Turner 10
170- Bauman 12
182- Martin 11
195- Sollars 12
220- Critchfield 12
285- Ralph 12
That’s a pretty solid lineup that can contend for the title. I think it’s a 3 horse race between MD, Brownsburg, and Crown Point.
I think this lineup is very close with the exception of a possible shift or two between 38 and 60.

Any other transfers anyone has heard about? Seems like there are always a couple of hammers moving around.

I don't see Nosko getting tossed, he was very savvy every where but Baumann is a physical yet technical stud at the same time and I think his strength would be the difference paired with his speed..Nosko could hit big moves every where and time and time again did stuff to show he was never out of a match... Almost like Bill nye science guy that would tech you while smiling being respectful yet dominant lol
The late lat drop for the win was a joke in reference to his win this year. I wasn't actually suggesting Baumann would toss him. I'm sure it would be a very entertaining match.

If I'm remembering right at the MD Holiday Classic last year if you lost first round the best you could do was wrestle back for 5th to avoid going over 5 matches. With the tournament being condensed to 1 day last year it was a necessity. But I could be wrong, my memory isn't what it once was.
