  1. i am derek roes dad and these coments are all so very true,i remember my loss my senior yr more then my state championship win my junior yr. derek took a ot. loss at s.s. being ranked 6th-from the 1 pt.loss at state last year on fri. - starting that monday that kid lifted and worked out every day---had a great season and all came crashing down with 1 loss at the wrong time.i told him i dont have the answers, but that u will receive more heartaches in life and i think wrestling will help prepare u for that. its just so crazy that i have missed 2 days of work, cant eat -over one fricking wrestling match! it seems to be so much harder on a parent then it was ever on me when i was on the mat. i am saying this with a sad heart, but i have vowed to never talk another kid into wrestling.the highs and lows are to great.JOIN THE BAND! tell me, am i crazy or what?
  2. ya it sucks. my senior year worked harder than i have ever before and wanted more than ever before. i got the win, ref said i one and told us to take off ankle bands and shake hands then he gives in to the other coach
  3. 6-5 they said i won, buzzer went off me 6-5 then out of no where there coach goes and argues it and the first time reff gives in gives him an escape (even though i had a snider cradel locked up) and he gets me in OT :-[
  4. i know i didnt lift much until my going into junior summer. but i only started lifting bc of the fact that i lost at semi state only due to the fact that i got out powered. i starting lifting hard during the summer then did little during season just to keep my strength up. it payed off because i made it to state the following year and didnt lose anymore matches just becuase someone out powered me. i feel its huge bc it helps with many many aspects of wrestling weather its crunching the cradels together, holding someone down or pretty much anything, it also helps you get more explosive wich will help dramatically with ur shots. but we know one thing, lifting cant hurt you and you dont wanna look back on your career and wish you cooulda done more1
  5. i like ur thinking!!! It will always be an exciting match! ;D
  6. 132 at one point have had over 8 ranked wrestlers! 6-9-10-12-16 then basinger used to be ranked. buzz. and more
  7. idk how big walburn verse early is walburn handled him last time and i beleive pinned him in the first this year. but i feel ROE# 6
  8. 132 should be interesting knowin that McCray has george first round and wilson has chaz buzz there wil be two good wrestlers going home!
  9. o its going to be a much better match than last week. there should be more points on the bored. worked out a few kinks and ready to rock
  10. agreed. miller will handle rigney if he stays aggressive like he does most matches besides against lee. Miller is a huge 106 pounder and has great technique and super aggressive. As long as he don't hold back like he does against lee he will dominate the match.
  11. Anyone got any updates on this sectional, its not posted on IHSAA.ORG either?
  12. did i once say that he didnt beat me or that im better, no!. i was stating the facts since someone said they hered i was very sick. and i shouldnt of probably wrestled but i cant afford to sit out bc im going for AC''s all time wins record. And a win is obvously a win no matter what, sick or not its no excuse just simply explaining my self.
  13. yes bc i was going to try to break AC all time career wins record. i couldnt afford to sit out any bc my freshman year i was out two weeks with mono and sopghmore year two weeks from concushion
  14. this is true i had bronchitus. sinus infection and the meds drained me and on top of that idk y i felt alot of pressure that day with the scout being there and the whole record thing
