I know Evansville isn’t Indy.   But all in all after day 1 I feel like Evansville/Ford Center has done a great job so far.   

Hard to think of State and Southern IN wrestling and not think of what Harmon has accomplished at Castle. 

i hate that.  i have heard it is Harmon's last season.  it would be nice for him to have a strong finish.

I just want to make something abundantly clear. Do not go to Pizza King for pizza, only stromboli. That said I've never had a pizza from pizza king and I don't think I know anyone who has. If it is pizza you want there are plenty of other places but if it is stromboli then I say Pizza King.

Pizza King Pizza is very average.  Excellent Strombolis, however.  For good pizza, go to Turoni's. it's tried and true with 3 locations.  Evansville pizza is more typically like the thin Crust Chicago Tavern style, cut in squares.  

Fidels Bourbon and Cigar bar is a very cool spot down there.  Feels like you went back to the 1920's.

I disagree. These kids wrestle all season long in ordinary HS gyms. The experience in itself of performing at a venue like the ford center will last longer for the kids that don’t get to continue onto the next level

You just never know who might transfer in.  Could Purdy be the next one?  

They should try and have it both ways. Give the medals, say their name on the mat, then have them all stand on the podium after the finals with their medals already received and just hand out brackets. 

I would agree with that statement. Both will be at or very near the top of the heap

That was a good one. I’ll bet we see it a few more times this year. 

Joe Lee completely obliterates Zach Hartman in :21. A dominating takedown and a quick, hard bow and arrow produces a turn and fall.  I thought that would be a good, tough match for Joe, but he made Hartman, an NCAA Qualifier from Bucknell, look like he didn't belong on the mat.

Yes. Yes they did. And that’s with a Boonville transfer to Castle in Logan Sutton plus Purdy who I am not sure but thought wrestled out of Boonville as a youth. But, I’m sure glad they’re both at Castle!

Bryan Bailey @Brey and his boys have made their marks on the mat. With that said, Bryan is currently providing more opportunities for more kids than any single person that I know of here in Indiana. The Baileys are the best wrestling family going. Just sayin

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll be sure to hit that one up. Be sure to hit up the Nacho stand as I’ve mentioned before. A little behind this as I believe. Portion go to what I’m anout to explain: 
its generally ran by members of Boom Squad. This is a group that was founded by a local attorney and wanted to find a way to not only give back to the community, but to help underprivileged kids. The kids come from broken homes, homes with legal battles and so forth. Mr. Miller bought an old bldg and renovated it, stocked it with Drums and opened the doors to help get kids into a positive environment for a couple hours a day. He’s done this for several years now and my family has also donated our time there(great learning experience and teaching tool for my boys). His fundraisers and donations help fund trips for his “boys” to travel all over the place like to Texas, New York, Ky and so forth. These boys come in and learn how to play music, bond as brothers and sisters and get so good that they get invited to these places. Since his opening of the door, he’s had several kids that turned their lives around and even got College scholarships. Amazing program. Sorry to post this on a wrestling forum but thought it was important to share cause I think it really has a same time of life learning lesson as this great sport does.
