Jake hockaday is most dominate! He is the standard in indiana. Incredible wrestler and character. True role model for the sport! He litterly handled his way through the whole series. Never down and never in harms way and pure domination!
I for one was shell shocked with the pin but incredibly bias here. Up 3-0 with takedown and escape in seconds with a Rideout to end the 1st. But man kyrel took advantage when shepherd turned in and locked that cradle up tight! Kudos to kyrel and congrats on the state championship! Much deserved! Good luck to kyrel at the citadel!

He wasn't even the most dominant on his team, even Waylon Cressell would tell you that.

Holden got a reaction from realtyleruhls in This sport is about LOVE!
All,
I want to share a story about the kind of people we have in this sport. Last Saturday Greenfield had a young lady injured in a match at New Palestine High School. It was a head and neck injury that required her to be transported to the hospital via ambulance. She and her parents had never been through something like this before and were justifiably shaken.
On Tuesday of this week I was called down to the athletic office. We had received a package. It was a box of flowers addressed to the young lady who was injured. They were sent from the Columbia City Wrestling Program. I know it's a little thing and some people may not understand, but it touched me and my program.
People think wrestling is about working hard, sweating, bleeding, beating on people, etc..., but it's not. It's above LOVING each other. I wan't to thank Columbia City for giving my program an example of how people are supposed to love each other.
Thank you!

I grew up behind Arlington HS and My dad worked for IPS. Coach Grundy was an incredible example to the youth in our area.

Harold Grundy from Indianapolis Arlington. Coached several years and although he doesn’t have a lot of accolades, he certainly helped save several at risk teens from prison or worse (including me). He would always say, “It’s deeper than wrestling.”

I'll always mention Jim Ledbetter on Black recognition threads. Wise, caring, thoughtful father-like figure to so many wrestlers, young coaches, and young officials. One of the best coaches and one of the best officials I've ever been around.

I'd love to see how other conferences did, especially the smaller conferences that I don't get to see wrestle much.
