Congrats to Carnahan tournament for being a big success. Maybe someday EMD and The Irish will join the fun! Brownsburg has a heck of a team ! CP has a heck of a team! Indiana wrestling has really raised the bar!

Heard the coaching staff added Scott and Dave Hinkel. Scott coached at Purdue University for 20 years and was Head Coach for 7 of those years.

Amazing that the Merrillville AD and IHSAA Board member retires and they move the semi-state to EC. Should have been moved years ago, way to small of a venue to host a SS. It's not what you know it's who you know!! Classic IHSAA

your are right experience could make the difference. Forget the lower weights this one is going to be epic. I am from the region and will always cheer for the region but this one will be huge.

I will always back the Region and hope Mr. Hughes advances in the tournament. Saw him last week and I was wondering if he was sick. He looked slow and sloggish in semis. Good Luck Ken

As long as the Merr. AD is on the IHSAA Board the semi-state will be in Merriville.

Read a article in the times interviewing t-shirts that mentioned he was going to wrestle in the Illinois dual. Also in the Iowa against the nation wrestling dual. -
just got back and we are so happy for him, great young man , things happen for a reason and he is a state champ. way to petrov and micic. Cedar lake should welcome you home with a fire engine ride.

Of all the things you witness and all the things peoplle talk about I know when they talk of jason I know it is the truth. Coach Vlink has been at Cp a long time and He witnessed all 4 years the best indiana has ever seen. Jason has shown the best of what we all want to be. Every opponent that has lost to him know what the truth is. He is that damn good! I will compare every state champ to him and that is not fair to the other wrestlers, but History is only for a few members and he has earned that stature. Thank you jason for your being you and never being bigger than the sport, you deserve everything you accomplish cause you are very special. Indiana should be proud to know that at 145 they had the best in the nation standing in their front lawn. thank you for the fun.

8 champs that is pretty damn impressive. congrats to hanover for their two champs micic your verrrrrry good and Petrov your smile on the top step tells what the human spirit can accomplish. Lynde you are tough and consitant. Ayeserman is a blue collar wrestler and when the job is done you are the best. Kral had alot of non believers but he walked away with what few can call their own. Hall not only done it on the mat but in the classsroom. Brooks got one and he can accomplish so much more. Jason Tsirtis is the best High school wretler I have ever seen, what i saw on the mat and the potium his heart and what he faced to match his brother will never leave my memory of watching the best indiana has ever had. He will be a gold medalist in the Olympics some day. Congrats to the Merriville semi state for their great performance.

Merrillville semistate prayer

The AD. Is on the IHSAA board so it will always be at Merriville. When that changes then the semistate will be in Plymouth or Penn. -
I am a region fan, and I also beleive that Perry is unbeatable if they are completely healthy . Just hope the first round is not like last year. Go CP and Merriville

Have you ever seen a cat play with a mouse. That is what it looks like when T-shirts wrestles. He does not want to beat you by points he looks like he wants to demoralize his opponent with points until he decides he wants to pin you. Have not seen a wrestler like him in a long time. The scary thing is he is just a Junior.
