It is like this. There is one person who knows if Phillips was hurt too bad to wrestle or not. That person is not me, nor is it anyone else on this thread. We all know who that person is I would think. Whether you agree or disagree with the decision that was made is pretty much irrelevant, it is done. Like someone already said, he would have to beat them all anyway to win a title. So lets get off the dead horse and just wish all of these young men the best of luck. They will sure make it an interesting weekend...

I understand the purpose of seeding, but I'm not sure why it is made such a big deal. If your kid is the better kid then he/she should win no matter of what seed they are. If we are going to make a big deal about it though, there are only three teams in the conference that will suffer at the seeding meeting. Centerville, North Eastern, and Union County are the three schools that actually wrestle competitive schedules. There kids will have more losses which in turn will hurt there seeds.

So explain to me again how someone who has never finished higher than 5th in the state jump 30lbs. and be ranked #1 over a guy who finished 3rd or 4th in the weight class below last year? I am honestly not complaining, but I just want to know your reasoning behind that.

Look, I have obviously stirred up a hornets nest here, which is fine. I am glad to see that this young man has so many supporters on his side. It was not my intention for this to come across in the way that it did, for that I apologize. On the other hand, my opinion hasn't changed and again it is only my opinion. I only meant to start a discussion and maybe I should have worded it differently. I too wish this young man the best of luck as I do all of the other wrestlers.

Im not quite sure that I ragged on the kid. I simply said I was not that impressed to make him #1. I never said I did not like the kid, I never said that he was not any good. I have never nor would I ever get on here and tear a kid apart. What part of sayning you are not that impressed is untactfull? Pease explain! He is a good wrestler, I just feel that there are kids who may be better.
