whats everyone's reason for picking Hankenson over Bratcher? jw because i noticed a lot of picks doing this.. Bratcher looks solid as ever and finished third last year at 71 losing to duckworth 4-2 where as ryley lost first round to vlahos at 52..

ehs2002- But it wasn't a team decision to not go to team regionals the coach made the decision (a horrible one) to not wrestle and the sad thing is the AD supported his decision at the time. What about kids on the team that probably will not ever get another opportunity to wrestle beyond sectionals? I feel bad for the whole team who has to suffer and look bad because of coaches who made this decision. They all look bad now whether they're going now or not. The damage is done, and now the IHSAA has that much more fire power to eliminate team state. -

-100 % agree with you. Terrible coaching decision, and im sure there was no team vote as previously mentioned by someone..just coaches who are making a school and sport look bad. -
not horrible picks but some things i did notice...Kern beat pence 6-0 i believe at conference dominating the match. At 119 i dont see Loe getting beat but the northfield kid is solid..Workman last weekend controlled flores the whole match and i believe flores' only point was when workman cut him, however i can see this upset happening but i dont see flores in the finals to begin with. Newsome is pretty tough. At 145 Hetzner was in the match with goodnight and most likely will be second or third should be a good match with wells. at 189 smith has beat duke twice, by pin at sectionals..at 215 i see starnes probibly winning with a close match with colby in the semis and at 285 i dont see anyone coming close to mason except with possibly the mac kid. Not trashing your picks just throwing things out there for discussion. should be a good regional with possibility of a lot of upsets.

Eastern has had a problem with staph infection i heard this year, and only has 14 total kids on their roster. It is a shame for those though that are healthy and arent allowed to go because of the coaches decision. Also have heard there has been numerous issues with their coaches. -
also heard pence might not be in because of an infection.
