Did those guys have a green weigh-in during January?

Yes sir, multiple even. It did not make much sense considering I had multiple wrestlers with the exact same number of weigh-ins, dates of qualified, and number of qualified weigh-ins get different designations on their profiles.

Like I said though, it worked out well for us and our kids are all able to compete but was concerning when a math teacher is questioning if I can count to 6.

  3. I had some similar issues this year that I haven't in the past. I had numerous wrestlers with 5 qualified (green) weigh-ins and they were a green profile overall. At the exact same time I had others with 5 qualified weigh-ins who were still red.

We didn't have an issues overall with them because we still had weigh-ins left on the schedule, but it was very confusing what the program was doing.

  4.  That's a great idea to certify by weight class! Makes much more sense to simply the entire process. We have several kids we have to keep a close eye on due to this process right now. Like others have said, creates a lot of stress and confusion on kids, coaches, and parents. We should number one be looking out for the safety of the kids.  Are kids really going to weigh in lower than what they have to? Absolutely not! So why do we need to over-complicate the process?

In an effort to make the sport more attractive to everyone, make it simple.

  5. It's Time! This summer we will be hosting Nebraska coaches Mark Manning, and Bryan Snyder on July 21st and 22nd for a awesome 2-day camp at Wawasee High School! These coaches produce some of the best folkstyle wrestlers in all of college wrestling; and some of the best freestylers in the WORLD.

Please spread the word and let's show some of the best coaches in the world how rich the talent is in Northern Indiana! The cost is VERY LOW, and look for the unique opportunity to make it even lower!

This is a Rare opportunity this close to home, don't let it go by you.

We are VERY EXCITED to announce that we will be kicking off our first RTC with Guest Clinician and 2x OLYMPIAN Plamen Paskalev.

Plamen Paskalev is one of the most decorated careers of any Division II coach or wrestler, competing in two Olympic Games and also winning an NCAA Division II National Championship.

After a successful international career, he brought his talents to the United States where he first met coach Ersland at the University of Central Missouri.

Paskalev was a three-time All-American at UCM under the direction of coach Ersland. He placed fourth at 285 pounds in 2003 and third at 197 pounds in 2005 before capping his collegiate career off with an undefeated National Championship season at 197 pounds in 2006. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Corporate Fitness at UCM.

Being this is am ISWA RTC wrestlers will be required to have a valid ISWA Membership Card for this year. Workouts will be NO CHARGE, just come ready to learn and scrap!
