I thought maybe he had a disease, every kid he wrestled came off the mat rubbing the backs of their necks...maybe, he was inking them one in during the match...

I have been contacted by some coaches asking if we can move our start time back.  We are going to stay with 4:30PM for this week, which is March 5th.  It is already on our athletic gym reservation schedule.
 
We want to give as many guys as possible an opportunity to train at our RWO, though...
 
So as a result beginning on Thursday, March 12 we will be going from 6PM - 7:30PM.

My son is 14 and mason is only one year older. He is still a cadet. The whole family is a class act.

Big congrats to Geoff Davis on his win tonight. Two years ago, as a freshman, Geoff was your classic 85 pounder that went 3-30 at 106. Had a better sophomore year, but ended the second half of the year on JV and now is a state placer! Good luck tomorrow and don't settle! I'll be watching from California.

Agree 100%. He was one of the most exciting Hwt to have ever laced them up in IN. His ability to throw much heavier opponents was awe inspiring. Hummel ran into a beast in Schneider from Mt Vernon, (who had him by 60+ lbs). He would have won Hwt in a lot of years, despite giving up all that weight

You make a valid point, but it is a lot easier to tell the wife/husband and kids, "Hey, I am going to go spend some time with other people's children" if you are at least bringing a token paycheck home. 

Coaches aren't going to leave because of pay. Most realize that the pay isn't the reason they are coaching. 

The fact that the champion is the champion in our state means on that day at that tournament he was the best in the state. The argument for classes is akin to handouts in my opinion. There is everything right about a kid from any school being "the one", or "one of the few", that qualified for semi-state, or state. I personally was never a "State Champion", but that doesn't mean that I was a loser. Sport is all about striving to be the best, to better yourself, and to appreciate the opportunity to compete against the best. The fact that you lose in sports, allows kids to understand that you don't come out on top every time. My $.02 is no more important than anyone elses, but to class such an individual sport in my opinion cheats those kids that want to use the largest measuring stick available (an all in tourney like we have), and waters it down.

I've said it before, and will say it again. If Merrillville is willing to give up the semi-state and another venue is found, I would be willing to run it.

So your opinion is that when a Mishawaka freshman and a Triton freshman step on the mat the first day of practice freshman year, each has an equal likelihood of earning a medal at state before the four year timer is up?  Is that an accurate assessment?

That AD is a big enough IHSAA player to ensure her place has a padlock on the event, yet isn't involved and/or clued in enough to ensure that the state brackets are passed out in the proper mannor at that same event. 

Especially when they announced (in the finals) Steven and he said under his breath through the microphone uhhh Lawrence you didnt put your last name...SERIOUSLY!!!! SOMEONE told you what it was just say it, its this kids time to shine not make a big deal of it....i about took the microphone away from him and jazzed it up a bit at least got the kids hearts pumping and the crowd excited for it....GUYS GOTTA GO!!!!

That must have been while Reitz threw his match to Black and Donaldson let Laughlin Pin him and Lawrence talked it over with Coviciu about how he would let him win the 4th meeting...Seriously think every kid wrestles every match regardless....or Maybe not

I'd love to know how I'm losing? The system in place is the one I want. Besides if I lose this battle and Indiana goes to classes, the entire state of Indiana wrestling losses.

Lady in Pink you dropped the ball...but hey at least you kept people outta the lower level bleachers and others behind the ropes in a "Standing room only" venue...Just 1 more reason to change Venue's!!!
