  2. Thanks to all who have supplied schedules.  We now have over 1000 matches uploaded.

Some matches are not posted because we do not know who is at each super dual.  We will try to get as many as possible before we start hitting the high point in the season.

YORKTOWN -- Like he does every year around this time, Yorktown wrestling coach Trent McCormick recently held a preseason banquet for his team to kick off another year of Tigers wrestling.

McCormick, in his 22nd year as coach, addressed the usual goals and expectations, delivering his message in front of more than 100 wrestlers, siblings and parents in the school cafeteria.

Then, he did something he does not normally do. He showed those in attendance the rings.

Brandon Wright figures to look just as menacing wearing Warren Central's black and gold as he did Cathedral's green and white.

Wright, who has never finished lower than second in three high school wrestling state tournament appearances and won a state title in 2007 at 112 pounds, transferred from Cathedral to Warren Central before this school year.

He finished second at 119 pounds last season and will compete at 125 for the Warriors.

"It's pretty much a finanical situation,'' said his father, Tim Wright, of moving from a private school to a public school. "The economy caught up to us like a lot of people when my wife lost her job.

  5. I would love to have the yellow, blue and pink Combat Speeds, but I guess they are only sold in Russia.  All of their world team members have a pair.

I have two pairs right now of the black and red ones.  One of the pairs is still in the box and brand spanking new.

  6. I am looking for 3-5 people to help with inputting dual results in our new system.  Basically you will take the results you find in the newspaper, online, or where ever and update the database.  Its pretty simple. you will just find the teams that wrestle and put their scores in and update.

PM me for more details if you are interested.

    Thanks.

    Greg Jones

    High school sports editor

Whitko?s five returning semistate qualifiers are, from left, back row: Austin LeTourneau, Drake Brainard and Dylan LeTourneau; and front row: Daniel Rothgeb and Jordan Gilbert.

Whitko wrestling coach Matt Koontz still considers the team as returning six semistate qualifiers.

There are the five ? Austin and Dylan LeTourneau, Jordan Gilbert, Daniel Rothgeb and Drake Brainard.

The sixth, Jarrod Lewis, won?t be on the mat for the Wildcats, but he will be in his teammates? hearts.

  8. This is really an ***NO NO NO***ious effort on your part, but if it goes well, this is going to be a wonderful addition to the site.

A lot of this will fall on coaches, fans and parents getting the schedule to us and/or reporting the scores.  I am working on finding about 3-4 other people to work on this to keep it as up to date as possible.  Right now I have about 2 people total that will work on it(3 people, but two will be part-time).

  9. I am not sure if anyone has been checking it out, but I would like to official unveil the newest addition to this website.  It is a database that keeps track of dual results from across the state.  If possible, the box scores from each dual will also be recorded.  As you know we have asked for information about each school's coaches, website, and schedule and this will be the end product.  Take a look at a couple samples of what we have.  In the coming days you will see more and more and more and MORE matches added.

    Team Standings

    http://www.indianamat.com/2009-indiana-wrestling-standings/2009/11/

You can go here to see what teams have the best winning percentages in the state.  If you happen to click on a team, you will see their team information and their results and schedule.  Hint: Click on Alexandria.

I hope this is a great tool that people use to gather information about all the teams in the state.  We have already had a great response to the schedule request and if you have not already submitted your schedule, please do so.

    Thanks everyone and ENJOY!
