    Meet the Coach

As you may already know I am opening a wrestling facility in Fort Wayne. On Sunday's I want to do a Meet the Coach, where coaches come and run a youth session and middle/high school session and tell their story,if they want, and what wrestling means to them. Then run them through some of you favorite stuff. The goal is for the wrestlers to get to know you and your experience with wrestling. Here is my story and I doubt it is unique, but it is mine. https://thefortwrestling.com/about/meet-coach-andy-oberlin/ Message me if you are interested in being a part of it. If you love wr

I know, thought this was an Indiana Wrestling forum? It was a good but tough time. I know my son, and a few other team members said this is one of the most enjoyable experiences they've had. Good job to all the kids and coaches.

Greco team got 6th in country. First time since 2014. Anyone know any prior year results? Freestyle got a rough draw with Illinois first round but battled back to get true second and will be wrestling tomorrow to see what place they will be going for. Blue team is having a great freestyle tournament as well with making the Bronze pool. if you aren’t at grand park watching, you are missing out on great wrestling! Amazing performances by Indiana wrestlers and staff of Cory Graham, Gralan Early, Dylan Lydy, Issac Ray, Dez Goddard and Ethan Bunce.

  9. I remember this story from when it happened. Kid apparently mouthed off and got dinged for unsportsmanlike, then flexed to the other team after he won. Got dinged a second time and was DQ'd. Family fought it and it was overturned. Now a second judge reversed the decision. Not sure how I feel about it, but I think I'm leaning towards siding with the second judge. Unsportsmanlike is a judgement call. If the decision to reinstate the kid was upheld, then to me, it opens a can of worms for others that think they were "wrongly" DQ'd for something. Bottom line, don't mouth off to the ref or

  15. This is crazy, I wonder if the "runner up" will now consider himself the Champ? The 3rd placer the runner up? I don't want to sound like a old timer, whipper snapper griping but what has the world come to when Feelings Trumping facts, Years later we have judges revoking state titles and in FS they award a winner after a tied match, Men in women's sports and worst of all, The Spartan bowl can't get wifi to report The Spartan Classic... Crazy times we are living in.

  27. Crazy story of a kid that was given 2 unsportsmanlikes and kicked out of the next event aka regional. Then got it overturned by a judge and went on to win state. Another judge said NOPE and his title has been revoked. https://journaltimes.com/news/local/wrestler-has-wiaa-state-title-vacated-28-months-after-winning-it/article_7de3bf04-a3f3-53b7-b79f-b26bbb166d4e.html
