Micic is out of the Olympics with an Injury
MUSKEEWRESTLER and 4 others reacted to HCCOACH for a topic
My son Paul is Stevans training partner and has been with Stevan in Europe for the last 3 weeks. Stevans knee injury is legate. He would have made weight with his weight cutting regiment. For you to make allegations against him is absurd. You have the right to your own opinion, even if it is wrong. He is crushed that he could not compete and fulfill his lifelong dream of become an Olympic champion...5 points -

was chatting with max last night and he reminded me he went into the second period with esmaili... no such things as moral victories, but, after first year of full time greco he goes into second with the future Olympic gold medalist... (US greco has to always look for the silver lining)2 points -

Congrats to Sarah Hildebrandt on making it to the finals tomorrow! She has now set herself in stone no matter the result as one of the greatest to come out of the state of Indiana. If she can complete her dream of a Gold Medal tomorrow she will be on the Mt Rushmore of USA Women’s Wrestling. Good luck to Kayla Miracle later this week as she goes for Gold as well.2 points -

Congrats! Sarah H. is the GOAT. Let's all cheer on Mason P. getting it done in a couple of days so we can spend time debating who is Indiana's best again. What a great Olympics thus far!2 points -

Freestyle 57kg Spencer Lee looked amazing in his Olympic debut, and will wrestle Higuchi for gold. The Japanese grappler will represent Lee's biggest challenge by far, but Lee is showing his class so far. He even tried using his vicious armbar, which pleased Jordan Burroughs during his broadcast. 86kg Brooks dropped his match in the semis in the last seconds in incredibly disappointing fashion. I'm sure that one is going to eat at him for a while. Hope he goes after Bronze with the same fury he showed in the quarters and semi. He showed he is right there with the best in the world. 57kg Maroulis looked a little outmatched in her semis match against Sakurai of Japan and will go for Bronze tomorrow. She won 2 tough matches before losing and earned that shot at another medal. All in all, a really strong showing by the US freestyle teams1 point -

no allegations other than what actually happened in serbia... i hope his knee heals up good and he proves everyone wrong and makes 57kg somewhere outside of serbia and actually performs... but... it hasn't happened previously and it still didn't happen in paris...1 point -

Today was our first student day of school. Some students at the end of school passing period may have been a little concerned about my antics while watching Sarah’s Gold Medal match on my phone. And I have no shame about it. Great win after years of hard work and dedication. Hopefully this is an inspirations to even more young girls from Indiana.1 point -

Her gold medal, and the wrestling gold medals team USA has a shot at winning, might be what separates us from China in the gold medal count this Olympics. Significant win on multiple fronts.1 point -

If the weigh-in shenanigans in Serbia are widely known & were publically called out, then why can't I find a single article about it? I find it extremely hard to believe that if Serbian wrestlers were allowed to avoid the weigh-in process that no country formally protested. Home country shenanigans happen frequently? Again I find it very difficult to believe that this is allowed to happen. It is only rumor that Micic made weight? If your allogations are true that the Serbian wrestlers were allowed to avoid the official weigh-in process then I guess you are correct. But once again I find this absurdly hard to believe.1 point

Micic is out of the Olympics with an Injury

Not too sure about shenanigans, but Micic is the reigning 57kg world Champ. He earned his way there and it's unlikely that whichever person would've replaced him would be a medal threat. It's disappointing on many levels, but Micic doesn't deserve any flak for getting injured training for the biggest stage in the world.1 point -
