    RIP Mike Faulkner

It is with the deepest of sadness that I share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Mike Faulkner, Director of Operations. Mike passed away peacefully last evening, Sunday, September 25, surrounded by those he loved most. Mike was an incredibly valued member of the SCM Family for many years. Though he wore many hats over his tenure with SCM, he set the standard for them all. Yet Mike was far more than any position or accomplishment, he was a difference maker in the lives of everyone he encountered. As much as Beef loved Mishawaka, his love for his family was far greater. He will be remembered as the type of husband we wish for our children, the kind of parent any child would be so privileged to call dad, and the best of leader, coach, mentor, colleague, and friend. Our continued prayers and support are with Mike's family: Monique, Alex, Austin, Angel, Larry, and the many other extended members of the Faulkner Family. Information on memorial services will be shared in the coming days. He was 53 years old.

  4. Mike was one of the classiest guys you'd meet. Prayers for the whole family.

  5. Buttler at #2 and Courtney at #15 is tough. Courtney is really good in my opinion and could have made a deep run in the winner's side, but now one of them get knocked down early. Buttler is the favorite, but Courtney is tougher than his results might show (dude gets some tough draws in the state series).

  7. Mike was a great guy to be around. Always smiling and laughing. I remember coming up the referee ranks and learning so much from Beef. Thanks for everything that you did for me and for the sport of wrestling. You will be missed by all of us! Rest in peace my friend!!!

Mike was a friend to all. He gave way more than he ever wanted to receive back. We are all better because we knew Mike. Rest in peace Beef. Here is his obituary with service information https://www.hahnfuneralhomes.com/obituary/MichaelPatrick-Faulkner

  9. Looks like we got 8 guys from Indiana seeded. Hayden Brady is #6 at 130. If any Indiana coaches or guys are able to help coach him on Saturday, I’d be much appreciative. We have a charity event and I can’t make it up until day 2.

  10. That too. I was talking about the time when the benches cleared and we all went chest to chest. MattyB was hiding behind Mr. Parris!

  11. I used to coach Little Outlaws down there and the Minions team tried to hose us in a 3rd place match once. Literally had to stop everything and get the tournament director. Always good times wrestling the Minions!

  12. Indiana boys wrestled well. I have put teams together for a very long time. This is by far the toughest dual tournament I have been a part of. We competed against all star teams. We were the only team in tournament that were solely from one state. Got a lot of good looks for these young men. I would like to thank all those that helped us make this work!

  13. Listen here Brother … when it comes to my nephew Hoke Hogan . He’s been taking his vitamins, saying his prayers, doing everything right like his Uncle . If it wasn’t for me Hoke wouldn’t be here. God created the Heavens, he created the earth! He created Hoke Hogan . Then, he created a set of 24-inch python on me brother! Blood is thicker than new blood brother, see these 24 inch pythons they got Hoke Hogan blood running all in them Brother . Well, let me tell you something Brother about all these Hokemaniacs that’s gonna run wild all over Georgia like I did back in the Georgia Dome . Watcha gonna do when Hoke Hogan runs wild all over you Brother … watcha gonna do Brother ! Gotta love this name . of such creative genius in this name . . I LOVE IT !

  14. Wow. CP has nine returning state placers (5 of which wrestled under the lights) and then add Hawkins (my guess is he's top 2 at any weight) and you have 10 state placers. Can not wait to see what happens at State this year. They will set a new scoring record.
