  4. This reads like the cover letter of a résumé. I'd say go ahead and submit it.

  5. WOW.... I really thought Winamac was a REALLY GOOD argument for that 1A spot... We beat Rensselear in a duel and not just by 1 match.... Had an injury to a senior at sectional that was the difference in Winamac Team Sectional Champions and not Rensselear..... Just keep your eye on Winamac when the season starts... We will show you why we belong there.

  6. Thank you, we are also adding a 2020 MS State Champion and another 2020 medalist from our middle school team as they become freshman this year. Thrine is a good one, would have loved to be on site to watch that one with Clark.

  7. Veazy is all offense all the time and that's refreshing to see from a young big man that Wrestles with the speed and Aresenal of a 138 pounder and a gas tank to put a pace on guys, that breaks them and in essence he weaponizes his cardio and pace to break ppl.. I could see him winning multiple state titles and being a world class talent if he keeps on the trajectory he's trending at...I could very well see him having Allred-esque career In HS and who knows maybe even Parris like..I don't want to put too much pressure on a kid or get ahead of myself, but I genuinely see elite talent in many kids in Indiana and he's one of the young gunz I think will be a great Big man. Glad y'all have stud of that caliber coming up and look forward to watching his journey and from what you're saying his father must be a very big influence on his success and overall prowess and development of becoming a great human being.. Scary part is this young man hasn't even begun scratching the surface on his full potential and could be in line to Continue IN success at the highest level beyond HS in college and beyond.

  8. Along with the starters, who should we bring in as practice fodder? We need accomplished guys that will be able to give the starters a look, but also not good enough to beat the starters. We will also need a top notch waterboy, someone with an indepth knowledge of H2O. Hydration is very important.

  9. The Ancient Elder was a great asset to Indiana Wrestling and particularly Martinsville Wrestling. His son's Richard and Bryan were a huge part of the success Martinsville saw in the late 80's and and Early 90's. Then they went on to coach at Lowell and Martinsville. Dick was always ready to talk about wrestling. It's tragic. We lost a great influence in Indiana Wrestling today. The The Ancient Elder & the Neal family had a huge impact on my success as a wrestler and coach. I am thankful for the time I was able to spend with him. Condolences from the Martinsville Wrestling Family. Briar Runyan

  11. The Fort Wrestling Facility should be coming online at the beginning of June barring no construction issues. We will be hosting live wrestling nights, local academies, meet the coach sessions, open facilities, camps, and clinics. For June and July we have Tom Ryan, Logan Stieber, and Purler camps coming your way and sign ups are open. Check us out at https://thefortwrestling.com. You can also see the progress of the build out at https://www.facebook.com/wrestlefortway and Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/wrestlefortway/ The whole goal is to bring more training opportunities to the area. Any support is appreciated.

  12. 125 - Hildebrandt 133 - Micic (still technically eligible so I'm taking him) 141 - N Lee (champ gets to pick his weight) 149 - C Red (Rooks if we're being picky about weights) 157 - B Lee 165 - Tucker (J Lee is close and admittedly I am probably grading him unfairly in comparison to his brother, but Tucker got a win at NCAAs and Joe didn't so that's my logic) 174 - Washington (Dude was super impressive this year, can't wait to see how far he can take it) 184 - I got nothing though I admittedly don't know anything about the DII or DIII levels (I'm thinking either Hughes bulking up or Davison making an insane cut?) 197 - Penola (making the blood round gives him the nod over Davison for me) 285 - Parris

  13. It is with a heavy heart that I relay the information that Dick Neal passed away this morning. He was a great historian of this sport and where I have received much of my information and data for our history section. Without his work on the "Echoes of the Elder" book we would not have the state's wrestling history at our fingertips. Dick served on the ISWA board and in almost every role possible within the wrestling community. My favorite memory was seeing him at the Dream Team Classic and the smile on his face the whole night. I am beyond grateful to have met him as he is one of the people in this sport that does not get the credit they should for their impact on the state. I will post arrangement information when it is ready.
