  4. As the Head Coach of Evansville Central, I just wanted to let everyone know how proud I was of our boys effort today. This was the most fun I’ve ever had as a coach at the Regionals. Everyone wrestled to expectations and a few exceeded them. They practiced hard this past week and wrestled even harder. Even though one didn’t make it out, he wrestled hard against a superior opponent. That’s all anyone could ask. ALL five boys represented their school, family, program and themselves with class and dignity. Well done and you all deserved everything you’ve accomplished so far this year. Keep believing in yourselves and good luck this Saturday in the semi state. Coach Lapadat

  5. The ticket round alone is responsible for more broken hearts than females are...myself included a few times over... it's the most awesome/ sad 2 hours in HS sports.

  6. I spoke with DeJavier Goodner's wrestling Coach today at the Fishers Folkstyle Tournament and he told me that DeJavier is okay and will be competing this weekend at Semi State. I also want to let everyone know he wasn't "thrown on his head" that was stated earlier in this thread. It was an very unfortunate situation for both kids involved, but I am very happy to hear that DeJavier is okay!!!! Our 152lbs wrestler never wanted that situation to happen and was very concerned for DeJavier and I am very proud of him on how he acted through the entire situation, knowing his HS wrestling career was over with. You never want to see situations like this happen, Good Luck at SemiState DeJavier. Sebastian, Great things are going to happen to you in LIFE, again I am soooo Proud of you and how you handled yourself throughout the rest of the day supporting your teammates!!! Coach Weimer

  10. Nolan Hathaway had a great day at the Carroll regional. The heavyweight just weighing in at 208lbs came in as the 4 seed and pinned the New Haven Sectional champ at 285 from Snider. He then lost to a really good Heavyweight Chase Leeper from Eastside who is every bit of 285, athletic, a Conference Champion, a great young man and athlete. Hathaway finished up the day with a win over the 2 seed from the New Haven Sectional from Leo, Tom Busch a 2 time Semi-state qualifier. Very proud of Nolan's efforts, his love for his coaches, teammates, and family, and his accomplishments this year. Good luck at the Semi-State competing with the best in the surrounding areas.

    Evv Semi State vs State

Although I will not be attending this year due to living in Texas, I must admit that the Evv Semi State at the Ford Center is equally as enjoyable for me as watching State finals at Banker’s Life. It is an amazing experience at both, but just goes to show how great of a job and atmosphere it is at the Ford Center.

  29. Cash vs. Rooks Ticket Round : Justice Cash has been around a long time and is very dangerous with his skill. If anything he’s a bad draw. It would not surprise me if Cash throws a couple wrenches Rooks way . Yes, I think this is his 3rd year in a row of tough ticket rounds . The Notorious
