In addition... If you don't know Joey Walker 152 from Mishawaka you will soon. Sat out most of last year due to a football injury. Skipped football this year and focused on popping cans of whoopa$$ on the weekends! Crossword puzzle clue: 6 letter word for hammer - Levitz 170 Prairie Heights. If you see a Levitz in a fight with a bear, help the bear. 195 & 220 will be fun to watch from the first match on Friday thru the final. Gonna be a gauntlet. 275... I am very curious - no love for the Blazer from Elkhart time will tell

    Pin Chain

#TheCountyTMZ is reporting that a PHAT pin Chain was spotted at the Avon O-reana tonight, during the Avon vs. HSE dual. It has been reported that it once belonged to legendry rappers Run DMC! We are reaching out to Team Garcia for details. #GrowTheSport

    Middle School Weights

The short answer is middle school athletics does not have a governing body like the IHSAA. Most schools utilize their "conference" weight classes and thus many are different.

    ** NOTABLE WINS / LOSSES **

Unranked senior 182 Aaron Conde of Avon bumped up to 195 and pinned #13 Andrew Irick of HSE. Conde is Avon’s most improved wrestler.

  12. As always, Steve Krah does justice to the story. Hats off to Coach Whickcar for and staff for a storybook season last year - capped off with a sectional title that came down to 5 teams in the final round. As for Xander, I'll be one of the most vocal of all his fans. If anyone has watched this team in recent years you'd remember Xander b/c he used to be the one who would almost get disqualified for using all of his blood time every match! He has always been a gritty, tough competitor. With a coach like Whickcar it was only a matter of time until Xander was top tier. Like the other outstanding athletes Whickcar has produced thus far: Tredway, Guerra, Boyd... Xander is also an outstanding person. He is the kind of person you want your kid to hangout with (for help with homework, character, or mat technique)! Thanks again to Steve for always supporting wrestling and telling the wrestling story from the Thanksgiving tournaments all the way to the 'Big Dance'.
