Bro... that was brrruuuutttallll. The scary thing is that they highland prep were missing a couple studs. They are pretty good! The Burg is going to finish top 4. I think dead mouse and Warren will end up battling for 5th. Btw... our 182 keeps getting forfeits! Also.... there is a brotherhood feel with all the Indiana teams down here. Pretty awesome community we have!

We lost in the finals 33-24. Came down to the last match...our 220 was just going for the pin, sacrificed a win for himself to try to help the team win. Extremely proud of him and this team! Again, Lake Highland Prep is a not a normal school...they are a prep school.

Indiana cornbrawlers have definitely took their lumps as a team, but we have learned so much and have a had great time together. Been a great experience in our first time down. Multiple guys still have a chance for all- American honors including: Elijah Anthony, Harper Dedman, Aidan Hardcastle, Jett Thompson, Fred Durben and Logan Swallow.

Congrats to our Indiana Outlaws for getting 4th out of 60 teams and winning the copper trophy. Led predominately by Cathedral Irish wrestlers, the Outlaws had 2 undefeated Gold All-Americans in Jordan Slivka and Center Grove’s Breyden Littell. Silver All-Americans with one loss were Zeke Seltzer and Alex Mosconi. Roncalli’s Alec Viduya becomes Copper All-American. Congrats to all Indiana teams and wrestlers. It looks like this great state had number of teams that were very competitive.

    Tucker Schank of Southridge

Tucker competed will play in the Indiana baseball state finals this week. This put him as competing at the state finals in three sports. T WRESTLING: Tucker went 45-8 as a sophomore and was a qualifier. As a Junior Tucker went 43-3 and was a qualifier. His Senior year he had several injuries from football and lost in the ticket round and finished 34-6. FOOTBALL: As a Junior, Tucker led the football team to a state title finishing 13-2 by beating Woodlan 15-14 at Lucas Oil. Tucker finished rushing for 1,300 yards and 26 touchdowns and 2,157 all purpose yards. He was a two way starter and racked up 50 tackles. (His Senior year they lost at semi state.) BASEBALL: Southridge comes in at 22-8 and will face Alexandria Monroe 28-6. Tucker is the leadoff hitter with a .402 batting average. 45 hits (leads team), 35 runs (leads team), 21 RBI's, 2 home runs. Last year, as a junior, Tucker played on Southridge's baseball team who finished 25-7 and lost in the state finals to Boone Grove 4 to 5. Tucker finished the game 2 for 4 with one run and two hits. He will go down in Southridge high school sports history as one of, if not the greatest athlete. Who else has accomplished this? If it wasn't for Western Boone's Shellacking of Southridge at semi state Tucker would have made it to state two times in three different sports.

IndianaMat Silver didn't do as well as the boys would have liked in the All Star Division but they did have four young men receive All American honors: Giovanni Diaz (120), Hunter Cottingham (132), David Page (145), and Chase Leeper (285). Thanks IndianaMat for the opportunity to wrestle and a special thanks to the coaches that dedicated their time to the boys!

Avon Brownsburg and Warren all look like they should win our pools. There is 6 pools. I would say that is a pretty solid showing!!! Two rounds of pool today and let’s hope that these teams are separated in the gold pool and bring home a 1-2-3 finish!

This is so true. Also... does anybody know what he would like to study? Knowing his family, I can almost guarantee that his academics will play a huge part in his decision. I’m not sure about his grades but I can almost promise you that his dad and mom don’t play! I bet you he picks a school that has excellence in his academic interests. He’s a kid that gets it and can have a great conversation at a young age. I think many times (as wrestling people) we over look that. Super impressive.

Avon and Warren split 5th place honors. Just decided to get on the road early. Congrats to Brownsburg for a great runner-up finish. Great to spend time around those boys this weekend. Btw... someone took Joes coachs chair and refused to give it back. Again, Indiana hanging tough with each other. Good stuff.

Innocent until proven guilty. That being said hazing incident- or not- clearly discretion was lacking. Young men need to realize, especially high profile young men, that eventually actions will be uncovered. However, if guilty then I hope justice is appropriately served.

Round 2 Miracle going to Worlds 4-0 Velte was a Bronze medal winner last year after topping Kayla in 3 matches. So Kayla is definitely in medal contention with her improved takedown IQ.
