As requested, let's do D1 Pick 'ems again this year.

Rules:

Pick a team of 10, one guy from each weight class, according to these rules:

Two guys seeded 1 or 2

Two guys seeded 3 or 4

Two guys seeded 5, 6, or 7

Two guys seeded at least 8th

Two guys seeded at least 11th

Points for placement:

1: 25

2: 20

3: 16

4: 13

5: 11

6: 9

7: 7

8: 5

Wildcard Bonus:

Designate ONE GUY as your Wildcard. If he outperforms his seed, you pick up 5 bonus points. (We'll extend to the Blood Round for this. If you pick a guy who's seeded at least 13 and he reaches at least the final 12, the Blood Round, you pick up the Wildcard Bonus).

Tiebreakers: 1) Most champs, 2) Individual who most outperformed their seed (example: 8-seed getting 3rd outperformed their seed by 5), 3) Most individuals who scored points

NOTE: If a bracket change affects picks you already posted, you may choose to either 1) stay locked in and earn points according to originally assigned seeds, or 2) make changes according to updated seeds. Please announce your intention if you make changes!

Post your team to this thread with final edits by 11:55am Eastern Time on Thursday, March 20 (12pm ET/11am CT start time).

If you pick a #1 seed as your WC & they win, do you get the WC points?

No. They need to outperform their seed.

You're good 👍🏼.

Looking chalky, more down-the-middle compared to last year. Feeling risk averse after high school pick'ems?

👀… kinda chalky year. I’ll always pick family in 125- Richie . Obvious 2 best wrestlers are at 165-285 I feel. Wildcard … we’ll see if he turns it up in tournament. Has before so who knows .

Hard to argue with you when you found 4 champs and 2 more finalists with a 3-4 seed and a 5-7 seed still unused.

125 - Caleb Smith (9)

133 - Blake Boarman (20)

141 - Andrew Alirez (8) Wildcard

149 - Kyle Parco (5)

157 - Brandon Cannon (5)

165 - Mitchell Mesenbrink (1)

174 - Dean Hamiti (3)

184 - Max McEnelly (3)

197 - Trey Munoz (13)

285 - Gable Steveson (1)

I would just like to add to the rules that if you still don't know that Gable's name is Steveson not Stevenson you should not get credit for picking him.

One of my best friend last name is Stevenson, so to my spell check error on my iPhone it auto corrects for me because I use that last name in my contacts list so frequently. Please excuse my malfunctioning iPhone. 😂

I like your confidence! You currently don't have two picks at exactly seeds 5, 6, or 7, nor do you have two picks at 11 or worse. Please edit your original post. Thanks!!
