Congrats to Sarah Hildebrandt on making it to the finals tomorrow! She has now set herself in stone no matter the result as one of the greatest to come out of the state of Indiana. If she can complete her dream of a Gold Medal tomorrow she will be on the Mt Rushmore of USA Women’s Wrestling. Good luck to Kayla Miracle later this week as she goes for Gold as well.

Looks as though Sarah is an Olympic Golf Medalist without wrestling in the finals. Saw where her opponent missed weight, looking for 100 % confirmation.

Yup, Vinesh has been DQ'd for weight.  It made a mess of the brackets.  Sarah now has the wrestler from Cuba in the finals, the last wrestler Vinesh beat,

I don't think it matters who is in her way . She's winning a Gold Medal .

Someone should let the Cuban know. So she doesn't waste time cutting weight and practicing. 

 

It seems obvious that Hildebrandt should rightfully be heavily favored, she has earned it. But stranger things have happened like Aleksandr Karelin losing. 

 

Earning (at worst) silver is a stellar accomplishment. Lets wait until it is finalized to celebrate (hopefully) a whole host of Hoosier gold medalist. Hildebrandt, Miracle, and Parris.  Indiana should be very proud representing itself with class and success (and in Hildebrandts case a smile) on the mat. 2024 has been a great Olympic showing for the Hoosier state.

Her gold medal, and the wrestling gold medals team USA has a shot at winning, might be what separates us from China in the gold medal count this Olympics. Significant win on multiple fronts.

Today was our first student day of school. Some students at the end of school passing period may have been a little concerned about my antics while watching Sarah’s Gold Medal match on my phone.  And I have no shame about it.  Great win after years of hard work and dedication.  Hopefully this is an inspirations to even more young girls from Indiana.

Loving how Sarah was able to be loving toward her competitors on the medal stand, but also joyous as she represented the USA and herself and reaching her pinnacle.

Congrats!  Sarah H. is the GOAT.  Let's all cheer on Mason P.  getting it done in a couple of days so we can spend time debating who is Indiana's best again.  What a great Olympics thus far!
