Interesting format that the boilermakers used. Let’s see what the first match brings for who will start or red shirt. Cricket21
Hated to see the MD boys against each other, but that won't be the end of those two battling it out for a spot IMO. Crazy to think that Baumann, with an impressive high school career, gets beat by Parkinson, who also had a solid 4 years for the Cats. If I was a betting man, I would've put Baumann over Parkinson, but that goes to show that Parkinson having more college experience under his belt gives him the edge over an offensive machine like Baumann. I am glad to see they will be practice partners as well. As always, #BringBackTheTights. navy80, Joe Exotics Wildcats and MUSKEEWRESTLER

Baumann, imo, will have an outstanding collegiate career and I am excited to see what he can develop into. #BringBackTheTights Cricket21, Misty Kendrex and MUSKEEWRESTLER
navy80
Parkinson had a good career and would have been 1st or 2nd if Walker hadn't defaulted at SS. Brody will be fine as he is a true freshman and Parkinson is a red shirt sophomore or true junior. Senior: Lost Friday night to the champion in OT and Walker is now at Michigan, right? Junior: 7th Sophomore: Semi state lost to Derek Blubaugh in ticket round. Freshman: Lost first round semi state Misty Kendrex and MUSKEEWRESTLER

Shouldn't have been a surprise that a kid with 2 years college experience, a 10 lb weight advantage and is a solid wrestler in his own right beats a true freshman. I'm sure there is some familiarity between them, but I don't know how much. Brody was a 145 lb his soph year when Parkinson was a 182 lb senior. Not sure how much they rolled at practice, but I'm sure they went at it a MCWC a time or two. Cricket21

You would figure he’d have one but I thought he may get a year or two at 133 (one at even 125 maybe) before that type of jump.

McCartney is very very hard to finish thanks on and uses his dexterity and Length/strength combination very well . I remember my boy wrestling him few times at Ihpo and always being wars, That pesky Parkinson welcomeda crack down, so he could trap Carson's arm and sit the corner for 2!!! Happy to see him doing well, and Baumann will really come along after mute time in that room! what a great problem to have as EMD fan Cricket21, IU89 and MUSKEEWRESTLER
