Zionsville Community High School will host an RTC Wednesday’s from 6:00-7:30pm.  Enter through door 27 (backside of the school). The wrestling room is right above the weight room. We will start these workouts March 9th.

Wednesday April 20th, IU Assistant Coaches Riley Lefever and Lincoln Kyle will be in to run the RTC practice, 6:00-7:30. Enter door 27 (South side of the school), 6pm start time, open to all with a USA wrestling card. Drop in to learn from two D1 coaches!

 

Coach Lefever bio:

 

Riley Lefever completed his first season with Indiana wrestling in 2021-22. 

 

Lefever, who grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, wrestled at Wabash College, where he was a four-time DIII National Champion (three times at 184 and once at 197).

 

Lefever posted a 158-6 record at Wabash and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He was a team captain and a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American. Lefever earned two NCAA DIII Most Dominating Wrestler awards and was also a junior national team member in freestyle. Lefever graduated from Wabash in 2017 and moved to State College, Pa., to train freestyle with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club.
 
In 2018 he earned the bronze medal at the Dave Schultz International Memorial tournament at 92kg and bronze medal at the Outstanding Ukrainian Tournament. In 2019 he earned third place in the World Team Challenge Tournament.

 

Coach Kyle bio:

 

Lincoln Kyle completed his first season with the Indiana wrestling program in the 2021-2022 season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach. 

 

Kyle comes to Bloomington after spending the last three years as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at his alma mater, Wabash College. As an assistant coach, Kyle helped lead the Little Giants wrestling program to a Top 10 team finish at the NCAA D3 Championships in 2019 while also finishing the season with three D3 All-Americans and one National Champion.

 

Before his second stint at Wabash, Kyle served as the Director of Operations for Campbell University in the 2017-2018 season.

 

Kyle was a four-year letter winner at Wabash after finishing his prep career at Alexandria High School in Alexandria, Ind. with three IHSAA Semi-State appearances.

Our technician this week will be Eric Douglas. 

Eric was a 2x state runner up, 
NCAA All-America for Purdue,
Assistant Coach at Purdue University, Assistant Coach at West Point, & Assistant coach at Lawrence North High School. 

We are extremely fortunate to have Eric coming in to run a workout! He's one of the best technicians I've ever learned from. Don't miss this awesome opportunity!

The head coach of West Liberty University, Danny Irwin.

 

Irwin was honored as the Mountain East Conference All-Sports Coach of the Year, the NCAA Division II Super Region 3 Wrestling Coach of the Year and was a finalist for the 2021 NCAA Division II Wrestling Coach of the Year after leading his WLU wrestling team to a season of “firsts.”
