Mendez never acted like a clown and I don't remember any MD fan starting a thread like that. I do remember the thread but not sure who started it.

When have I acted out against any of these young men?

I'm already stepping outside what would be considered "ok" by EMD fans for engaging in this silly discussion anymore than I already have but I'll take my chances for now.

When did Chad ever act like a clown?

A lot!

I would like specific examples because Chad always carried himself well. If you’re upset about how he chose to celebrate his state championship victories, then I ask would you not be super celebratory when nearly an entire building is against you when you compete?

Honestly I’d agree Jr.’s celebrating wasn’t super over the top for winning. 4x.  Maybe emotional, but I can let it go with how the moment played out.  Chad Jr. has that extra swagger about him, so if he want to show it after a title so be it.  I’m not sure how any over the top actions played out in any prior matches.    However, you could say Sr.’s actions could be perceived as a little more than necessary for a coach in that moment, especially considering it was a Lee who was out injured almost the entire season.

Yeah, delirious.  Maligned who started that thread has nothing to do with Mater Dei.  Nothing in that thread should cause you to have your panties in a wad about MD and having any resentment.  No one from Mater Dei posted in that thread at all, unless Butt Drag is (who I don't know). Using that as evidence proves your delirium.

You claim I’m delirious and phrase your words as if I have hate for Mater Dei and act like I’m picking on the school itself. I have great amounts of respect for Coach Schaefer and staff and the wrestlers. They were great opponents when my teams competed against them, and they’re great now. Who I have a problem with are the men on this forum who post on “their behalf” yet backhandedly discredit their own team. When they won the title last year, many of you compared them to 2003 before immediately writing off their achievement in breaking the total points record because it wasn’t 161, an unofficial number. Please tell Brody Baumann, Gabe Sollars, or Alec Freeman that what they accomplished was invalid because they didn’t match or best 2003. See how they would feel.

I’m not discrediting the team. I recognize they were a great team. I’m saying get off of their nuts because you’ve discredited every team after it. 2021 couldn’t even enjoy their state title without the guys who don’t go outside and touch grass mentioning 2003 saying how the 2021 squad’s then-record breaking achievement wasn’t valid. So, it felt good to see a team finally shut all that talk up and force y’all to move out of the past.

Have you been hitting the sauce tonight?  Because none of this crap is even making sense.  You keep saying "you" to people who aren't associated with MD in anyway.  Keep on drinkin!

Who are "you"?  You make broad general statements blaming no one specific and act as if it fact.  It's a joke.  No one diminished those accomplishments at all. The 2021 Wildcats were indeed a great team.

Again, delirious or drunk.   Either way, I'm done with this nonsense.

I say “you” referring to you fanboys living in the past. I am sure you (talking to YOU specifically; just helping YOU out) are smart enough to understand the word you can refer to multiple people. You are calling me drunk or delirious, so tell me… Is this not y’all talking about 2003 EMD and that unofficial number every chance you get or am I delirious and seeing things? And yes, I’m including you (just YOU again) because you react in agreement to a number of these posts.7D8C6396-AC40-46CF-ADC2-02462C75CDAB.thumb.png.442b8865dcab27636e49614d412dbb50.pngDF347346-2448-4D4C-B1C9-3644B13A9D08.thumb.png.af17a337f7f2e56c2e2ea7037b3b55e9.png7D8C6396-AC40-46CF-ADC2-02462C75CDAB.thumb.png.442b8865dcab27636e49614d412dbb50.png774B6957-0BC5-40D8-8D3A-B16EDB2F5D82.thumb.png.5fb1ff826f5898c04c894e4b153e66ab.png

Another factor that made the 2003 EMD team really special was that they did this while a very solid Griffith team was also around that year...

If it weren't for Griffith's two 4-time state champions that were on the roster that season, EMD likely would have had 6 champions

"Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda" I know... But it was a great season in Indiana Wrestling History overall

How awesome would it be to see a 4 team bracket

1st round

03 MD VS 22 BB

03 GRIFFITH VS 22 CP

To see who gets 1st-4th..

I don't get why some of "us" are fanboys just because we are old enough to have seen and experienced some of the classic teams. I'm far from a Mater Dei fan, in fact considering them a rival, but I can certainly respect the accomplishments they have and appreciate how good they were at that time.

Let's be honest, Griffith wasn't an all time team, it was an all time collection of a handful of the most talented wrestlers Indiana has ever seen. The rest of the team struggled, with the exception of David Martin III.
