These will become official in one of two ways: 1) The IHSAA numbers, which might be slightly adjusted from these Department of Education numbers are released BEFORE the state finals and we make any adjustments toward their data set or 2) the IHSAA don't release their official numbers before the state finals, in which case what is listed below becomes official. Sorry for the confusion with the release of old data earlier!! We've always, in every IHSAA re-classification year, used the new data that was released right around sectional/regional time. The reason we initially used old data was simply because I was out of the loop and didn't realize the IHSAA was on track for a slightly delayed release of those new numbers. To be as straightforward as possible in case people want to dispute which set to use, we've always gone by whatever is the most recent data the IHSAA are using. They halted re-classification last cycle because of covid effects, but we would definitely adjust the numbers if they've published updated lists they're using. Schools with an * do not report enrollments to the DOE, so their numbers are just what the IHSAA has in their directory and may not be current. Enrollments only include students in grades 9-12. I did read in one of the Hendricks County newspapers that Avon HS is expanding expected to be done 2025 . No seniors on the roster, SHOULD have 7 semi-state qualifiers (out of “category 6” Mooresville sectional and regional) would likely have enough points to qualify for 3a team state but possibly not 4a.
