Purdue and IU line-ups

Recommended Posts

I know Purdue had wrestle offs tonight and IU is tomorrow but wasn’t sure if there were some athletes not partaking.

any ideas on what the line-ups will look like this season?

my best guess based on tonight’s wrestle-offs for Purdue are

125- Schroeder

133- Ramos

141- Filius

149- Alec White

157- Coleman

165- it appeared Soehnlen is back at 165 and at 174 we have…
174- Nijenhuis (someone correct me if I misread the tweets as this is a flip of their weights from last season)

184- Lyon

197- Penola

285- looks to be Woulfe?

Any guess at IU? Corrections to Purdue?

Tried to find IU wrestle-offs from this morning, but no luck yet.   College Wrestle-Offs don’t always lead to the final lineup decision, but they usually paint a decent picture of where some guys are slotted weight wise.

It's great to see so many Indiana HS names among IU starting lineup!

Now, the question will be whether or not they can have success in the Big10 with this lineup

Bottom half...   Just not sure how close to the middle they can get. Can they beat Purdue? Northwestern? Illinois?  Michigan State? Rutgers?

I don't see them beating Iowa, Penn St., Ohio St., Michigan, Nebraska, Minnesota, etc.  The only school I could seem them clearly being better this year is Maryland.  That doesn't mean they'll finish 2nd to last, just that there is a whole lot of gray in the middle to bottom of the conference.

You are not wrong here. I think this is where I would like to see the team make some progress in the Big Ten. Let’s see how competitive they are with the lower tier conference teams. The IU coaches are going to have to produce in order to get the attention of the elites that are fleeing the state every year. You can’t be the punching bag every year and expect recruiting wins.
