Or if you want to just straight “bit your thumb” at basketball have an event in the Hoosiers gym in Kightstown.  I enjoy the movie, but it would be throwing the gauntlet at the basketball community for sure.  I don’t think the actual Milan gym still there.

- On Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis

- An abandoned steel mill in Gary

- You want a loud crowd - how about in one of the state penitentiaries.  Disclaimer: This may be a horrible idea, but hey if Johnny Cash could perform at Folsom...

- School-related, but not High School:  IU or Purdue wrestling facility, or maybe Assembly Hall / Mackey Arena / Hinkle Fieldhouse

- Halftime of Colts game

- On the lawn of the Governor's Mansion

- Undercard of a big boxing or MMA event

On the topic of using a college facility, when I was in college one year we hosted a college dual but opened with a High School dual. This was in Southern Kentucky at the University of the Cumblands. We only did it once for some reason. That could be something that some of the colleges in Indiana could do with a local High School.

If we are talking IU I’d say either in the old Mens Gymnasium that is now a part of the Health building.  I believe that may have been the original gym the wrestling team would have competed in at the start of the program.  Or have it in the IU Fieldhouse (if it’s the same building today) which was the location of IU’s one NCAA championship run.

Rumble at the Resort held at Belltera Casino in VeVay Indiana is a really fun event . The few years I went I had a blast, team well and my guys always got at least 3-5 matches in a 2 hour period..If your wrestler makes the finals they have a DJ who plays the entrance music of each competitors choice as they walk out with Fog, laser lights and ramp leading to the mat UFCesque entrance that has the finaliats wrestling up on a Stage under a spotlight... Former IN big Men studs Trizton Carson and Nick Willham met there 2 years straight in The finals and both had solid competition to get to the finals beating Other state qualifiers/placers.. there was always KY,IN,Ohio AND TENNESSEE studs that usually made their way there and wrestle for the coveted Spartan Helmet title...

This all came together by accident years ago when it use to be Rumble on the resort until rain almost cancelled the event and Belterra saved the event last minute, and after seeing how well the event did at the Casino, the casino ended up wanting to make it a annual thing and now it's getting better and better each year...

I also loved how the tournament was ran in the evening the years I coached my guys and had a lot more laid back atmosphere that lead to a lot of quality wrestling and had became one of my favorite off season tourneys to attend . Plus it doesn't hurt that after the kids are settled in the the adults can also unwind while eating good and losing few bucks on the slots..

One of the last wrestling tournaments held at The Wigwam in Anderson was my junior season 00-01. We hosted the Madison County Tournament. Since then, there were maybe a couple Central Regional tournaments hosted there from 2003-2005 or so. When my brother was in high school 1990-1994 Anderson wrestled all of their home duals there. I remember running around the facility as a kid during duals/tournaments. The wrestling room was located in the basement of the Wigwam. Fun times

I don't think Frank Reich couldn't handle not having part in blowing a huge lead or not running the damn ball in OT..
