A few college wrestling notes....

In no particular order...
1. Heralded freshman Carter Young apparently did a U-turn after arriving at Northwestern and went back home to Stillwater where he'll join the Cowboys. 
2. Rumors are swirling that Northwestern coaches Andrew Howe and Jimmy Kennedy have been/will be let go for refusing to abide by the school's Vaccination Policy, leaving the Wildcats without 2 key assistants going into the season.  I hope the rumor is not true, they change their mind or something is worked out.  It is also the rumored reason for Carter Young's quick departure.
3. The Collegiate "National Duals" are back and being held in Niceville, FL, just outside Destin and Ft. Walton Beach on Dec 20-21.  The field has 12 teams, including 7 of the top 11 according to InterMat.  They are:
- Iowa
- Penn St
- Arizona St
- Cornell
- Va Tech
- Misouri
- Oregon St
- Lehigh
- Northern Iowa
- Hofstra
- Central Michigan 
- NC State

4. Penn State's schedule came out today.  It confirmed their participation in the National Duals. They host Indiana this year and Purdue is not on their schedule, so no visits to the state of Indiana.  They go to Iowa City again and participation in the National Duals could mean Iowa and Penn State wrestlers could face off 4 times this year.  This also means PSU won't wrestle over New Year's at the Southern Scuffle.  
5.  Willie Saylor has Yianni D. at 149 in his rankings
