MattM
220 #1 ranked Christian Carroll will face HWT #1 ranked Ohio State commit Nick Feldman of PA at Who’s #1 in September. Hopefully we will hear soon if Jesse Mendez will agree to appear for his 3rd go at this event. Y2CJ41
Mendez will wrestle Casey Swiderski of Dundee, Michigan who is an Iowa State commit. This was announced on one of Flo's shows last week.
MScholar
Lemley won't get an opportunity to defend his number 1 rank because Gibson is having surgery on his knee.

Wouldn’t it just be next man up? Last year Van Ness was number 1 and the event still happened when he got hurt

This year they wanted nic and Jesse to wrestle for the number 1 P4P spot, but Nic is having surgery after Worlds. So 132 will not be contested either. Last year Van Ness was in a 4 man so they just tweaked it. There was always supposed to be another match, but Van Ness would never agree to one. Every year there is a handful of weights that are not contested. 1prouddad

MattM
I haven’t double checked the names, but I’d say a very small few have ever made an appearance 3 time at the event as Mendez will do when he faces #2 Swiderski of Michigan. As well, only a small number being able to claim two “finals” wins (Jesse has some prelim wins too). Hopefully Jesse adds his name to those ranks at the event.
