I didn't see it, but those that watched said he was completely gassed in the first 2 minutes. Jesse Mendez also did not medal. He won 9-6, his first match with a late 4 pt move and a garbage TD at the end of the match. He was down 6-1 with 1:20 left. He lost his QF match 10-0 and the guy he lost to, then lost to the eventual champ, so he didn't get pulled back in to repechage for a chance at a medal. DJ's first loss in a close match ends up being to the gold medal winner from Iran also, but he'll regret his second loss to non-wrestling nation Germany, who got blitzed by Iran. He'd have wrestled for bronze against an Indian who also got smoked by Iran. Alara Boyd falls 9-2 this morning to Moldova in her first match but Moldova has steamrolled to the semi's so still a chance at repechage.
