  • The Professor Morgan changed the title to Warren Central RTC. Coach Tom Molony--Head Coach CCSJ March 17th Wednesday 6-730.

Tom Molony, Head Coach of CCSJ NAIA is coming to Warren Central Wednesday March 17th, 2021 to run the RTC.  If you are still looking to be recruited for next season, this is a great opportunity to come get better and get seen by a college head coach.

TOM MOLONY NAMED CALUMET COLLEGE (NAIA) HEAD WRESTLING COACH FULL COACHING STAFF BEING ASSEMBLED WHITING, Ind. – Looking toward the 2021-22 season, the administration of Calumet College of St. Joseph (CCSJ) is excited to hand over the reins of the Crimson Wave wrestling program to Tom Molony. Molony comes to Cal College with a wealth of competitive and coaching experience, spanning more than 30 years. "When I began my journey in wrestling more than 30 years ago, I had no idea where it would lead. I am honored beyond words to become the new head coach at Calumet College," Molony stated. "I am enthusiastic to be part of the rich, deep history that is wrestling in the state of Indiana, specifically in the northwest region. I look forward to building this program to the potential it has always deserved to fulfill." Most recently, Molony, an Oak Park, Illinois resident, served as an assistant coach at Elmhurst College (now Elmhurst University) in his second of two stints with Blue Jays grappling team. During his three seasons at the NCAA Division III level, Molony coached four College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) champions, seven NCAA DIII National Championship qualifiers and two NCAA DII All-Americans. While serving as the Head Assistant Coach at Triton College (Ill.), Molony had the honor of coaching 15 wrestlers who advanced to the NJCAA National Championships, including one All-American. He also co-founded the Triton Wrestling Club. Molony's competitive experience includes three years of Olympic Freestyle at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, while serving our country in the US Air Force. Prior to that, he competed at Downers Grove Community High School South in Downers Grove, Ill. He is also an avid fan and player of rugby. Prior to coming to CCSJ, Molony served as the Associate Director of Military Veteran Student Services at Loyola University Chicago (Ill.). Molony holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from Northern Illinois University and an Associate's Degree in General Studies from the College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, Ill. Molony's coaching resume also includes assistant coaching stints at various Chicagoland high schools, including Fenwick High School (Oak Park, Ill.), Montini Catholic High School (Lombard, Ill.), St. Ignatius College Prep (Chicago), Lane Catholic High School (Lombard, Ill.), St. Ignatius College Prep (Chicago), Lane Tech High School (Chicago), and the Junk Yard Dog Freestyle and Greco Roman Wrestling Club (Chicago). He also served as the lead coach for the Oak Park Little Huskies (Ill.), and Woodridge Jefferson Junior High (Ill.). "I believe we have an incredible opportunity here to rebuild this program by attracting disciplined student-wrestlers from ‘The Region’ and around the country who want a small, inexpensive, private college education. CCSJ is a place where the academics are primary and rigorous, the wrestling is competitive with all levels of the sport in college, and preparation for life after graduation via immediate access to the world-class city of Chicago is immense," said Molony. "I would like to thank CCSJ Vice President Johnny Craig, the rest of the search committee, and the CCSJ administration for endowing me with this incredible opportunity to mentor and develop our student-wrestlers' lives," added Molony. "I would also like to thank Dan Bullivant, Ed Nobiling, Scott Bayer, Michael Bukovsky, John Dziewiatkowski, Mike Powell, Harry McGinnis, Mark Groski, Neil Posmer, Tony Poro, and Steve Marianetti for their friendships, mentorships, and endless hours of discussion and support, all of which have lead me to this opportunity. Go Wave!" BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME Wasting no time, Molony has been hard at work not only re-establishing his team for the 2021-22 season, but also hiring on young, knowledgeable assistant coaches. "The success of this program was never going to happen with one coach alone," Molony stated. "Hiring on young, accomplished assistant coaches is crucial for the ascendance of any and every program in the country. For high school studentwrestlers who want to come to college, improve quickly, and become national champions, this is the staff that can do that." Nick Fowler - Assistant Coach Fowler is a 2021 graduate of Calumet College of St. Joseph, a 2020 NAIA AllAmerican at heavyweight, and a three-time national qualifier for the Crimson Wave. A "local product", Fowler is a graduate of Calumet High School in near-by Gary, Indiana, where he was a two-time semi-state qualifier, and a state place winner as a senior, earning a sixth place finish at 195 pounds.
