@138 Clouser vs McConnell freshman/sophomore state blood round.
coach Swain is going to have to get some of those eating and lifting they are 2 and 3 deep at some of those weights. With strong wrestlers

Unfortunately Noah was injured during his last match Saturday and couldn’t continue in the tournament. Will heal up and hopefully be back soon. Eating and lifting is definitely on his schedule!

Congrats to all placers and champs. This is a VERY important and underrated tournament. It’s a big deal to place at and win this event.

I strongly agree with this statement.  I was impressed with so many of the kids I saw this weekend.

Your boy won the year At 160 the year Silas and Trizton threw down at 170! Very good TOURNAMENT that has tons of talent.

Of the ones that placed,  who are the ones that surprised the most, and have the best chance at making the podium at bankers next yr

Caleb Wyss of Franklin Community went on an absolute tear this past weekend, finishing 4th at 126. He was up 7-1 on Brayden Lain before unfortunately getting caught in a throw and pinned, but he rallied back four or five straight wins in the consolation bracket before falling to Josh Johnson 6-3 in the third place match. I was highly impressed with his top work throughout the weekend and his scrambling abilities. If he can put together a great summer and transfer it to next season, he can build on his semi-state qualification from this past year and potentially run to the bank.

Jayden Jett from Cowan went from a regional qualifier at 120 to 8th place at frosh soph state

Jackson New Yorktown 220 went out first round of semi-state lost 1-0 to Beck of Rochester and pinned everyone else to get third as a second year wrestler.

The East Central kid that won at 138 was very entertaining and could pin anyone from anywhere

Cameron Clark of Jay County falls in OT in the finals to Thrine who is tough as nails.

I saw tons of pretty decent kids this weekend that didn't place honestly. I think the level of competition at this has drastically improved over the last couple years.

126lb champ had almost all bonus point wins , to include a first period fall in the finals.... only non bonus point win was against a state placer Joshua Johnson

Krejsa looked awesome this past weekend! Kid will be at the bank next year if he stays at 126 and place IMHO.

Sophomore Jacob Jones 182 semistate qualifier from Sheridan had a tough loss day one in Saturday’s quarterfinals. Wrestled back with two major decisions and two falls to third place on day two. Didn’t even wrestle as a freshman. He’s going to be solid the next couple of years.

220lb Final between Jakkarey Oliver (Whiteland) and Chance Harris (Ft. Wayne Concordia) was an exciting match, went into Tie Breaker 1. Harris went for the takedown to try and end it but slipped a little and allowed Oliver to get around behind him, but it was a good match. They were both Semistate Ticket rounders from opposite ends of the state.

This kid is fun to watch.  Has a lot of different attacks on his feet and do not go upper body with him.  Saw several nice throws including one that took out the score board on Sunday.
