Weigh in points?

Nate Spangle

Question

Can someone either answer this question or point me in the right direction in the rule book?

When it comes to weigh-in points.

Tournaments 4 or more teams take 2 weigh in "points" (Pardon me if that isn't the correct terminology)

I have heard about 3- ways (us and 2 opposing schools) counting as 2 dual points vs 1 "tournament point"

So if we have 6 "Tournament weigh-in's", 3 Dual matches, & 1 "3-way" weigh in. Would this be acceptable and keep us under our 18 "points"

Thank you so much in advance.

Weigh-ins don't have  points. A kid can weigh-in as many times as he needs.

Event points, there is a limit of 18 for each athlete.

Duals are 1 point
Anything with 3 or more teams is 2 points aka called tournaments.

You must have a minimum of 6 duals.

Only exception is a double dual(4 teams only wrestle twice, or 3 teams and round robin) can could as two of the required duals.

Thank you so much. Do you know where I can find all this info at? Is it somewhere on the IHSAA's website?
