Delaney Ruhlman - Bloomington South completely dominated State Champ Blake Boarman winning 11-3.  Give a ton of credit to Ruhlman as he came out and controlled things from the beginning.  But Boarman looked listless and not himself.  I saw the same in his first match so I'm not sure if it's not his day, but I've never seen Boarman dominated, not even in the State Title match 2 years ago.

Ruhlman brothers have worked soooo hard. Watched them all year grinding at Red Cobra. Boarman didn’t look great but let’s not discount this match. I’m sure we will see a rematch sooner or later!

I agree 100%.  Ruhlman looked the part.  Definitely look forward to seeing this one happen again.  Was a little disappointed Tristan wasn't available to wrestle today.  He had some great battles last year between Gabe Sollars and Robert Deters.  Was looking forward to seeing him at a higher weight (220) this year.

132 Brevan Thrine#7 at 126 NC SS Beat stud freshman of Southport Keegan Logan 13-1, Thrine is an absolute genetic freak and an all around monster at at 32..#8 state ranked enigma Jack Taylor of New castle who just now has year of experience under his singlet pinned all 5 guys in 2 minutes combined and is actually learning how to wrestle and not just rely on his freakish atleticism paired with his strength (squats 575) and speed , and Imho he will be a handful for most of the state and is only getting better every passing day..120 Freshman stud Gavyn Whitehead (4th MS state placer and ISWA state runner up,Sparty classic champ)  made his debut going 5-0 in Dominate fashion.. Under coach Black New Castle went 5-0 beating solid Southport and are actually starting to turning the corner and restoring the pedigrees our legendary program had for over 3 decades...

Luke Goodwin of SP is a hammer and I look for him to place high once again... We may take some lumps at team state in few weeks but I promise Coach black and a wonderful group of assistants and youth coaches are building something great and I see within next 3 years us competiting for Sectional and regional team titles along with A 🔨 ofa squad being assembled at East central that is loaded and imho top 20 dual team.

From Portage:

The 106 from Portage is good. Def state qualifier. Prob Top 10. Portage 145 and 152 should be at Bankers too.

The 170 (Fuqua) and 182 (Ward) from Franklin will be podium folk.

Not sure if anyone can beat Andrew Wilson of CHS at 160 if he wrestles this well. Same goes for Dickey. He looked fairly untouchable.

Franklin is already a tough out in a dual meet. And look to be pretty young. Portage is way down.

Great see-saw dual between CP and Cath. Cath is a tough match-up for CP. 28-28 w criteria win on match victories 8-6.
