Headgear Question

More protection than standard headgear. Trying our best to help prevent another concussion. Would like to use for practices and competition. He has used the LDR headgear and he did not like it last year. Since our dogs chewed the LDR headgear up ,  we are trying to get something new. Any other suggestions for a more protective headgear is welcome also.

I believe someone asked about this type of headgear a year or two ago on a national board.  I believe the word at the time was it was too new in terms of its wrestling implementations and thus no one had really investigated it enough to see if it meet some type of actual wrestling safety criteria. Nor had their been enough data to show its effectiveness for wrestling purposes. Not sure what that actually would be or who would have to approve it, but I’d say you would get more luck at the state level if some type of national group had already given it a thumbs up.  I haven’t seen anything sense though. Have you tried contacting the company to see if they have received any type of approval from a national or state association connected specifically with wrestling. .

We have two of these Bats-toi head gears. They are to prevent concussions and cauliflower ear. Looks like NFHS approved them in late 2016. We are looking to use this in a meet. Who should we get a definite confirmation from. Mario Mecado former D-I wrestler Invention. I have spoke to him several times over the past few months he said they were approved  by NFHS but I want to here it from someone in INDIANA. It seems like it is compliant with Article 4 of the uniform https://www.nfhs.org/sports-resource-content/wrestling-uniform-rules/
