RPI and Coaches' Panel Rankings out: These guys are already virtually guaranteed berths at NCAAs

Here's the list of Indiana background and IU and Purdue guys who made it into the Coaches' Panel and/or RPI ratings. Anybody ranked in about the 20s or better in both is a virtual lock for the NCAAs. Even if they don't qualify at their conference tournament, their RPI, CPR, and accompanying strong resumes make it impossible that they won't get at-large bids.

Some personal thought about less talked about guys:
 

Wish we would have seen what Hudkins could have accomplished on a full season at 125 for IU.  Heck wish we could see what a healthy IU team at Big10s would look like.   Based on currently allocations IU has two likely qualifier and will need a couple big wins to get a few others in automatically.  
 

 

Parriott has been such a ? for the Boilers.  All the hype coming in, up and down results thus far, and now on the bubble of making NCAA when the teams has had a major year of success.  He’s been a little banged up for part of season, but hopefully is healthy and can put it together at Big10s and give PU another qualifier.    PU set to get most of the squad in as automatic bids at Big10s with a couple more like Parriott in the bubble. 

Hildebrandt having a banner year in the MAC and looking to take the conference title this year and a NCAA trip. 
 

Someone tell Hughes opponents to choose down next weekend.  I think he qualify for NCAA’s depending on the draw.  If he get a he draws into a major neutral threat who can hold a base on bottom well, it’s going to be tough.  Always a tough competitor to face, but I really hope he refines his neutral game more for next year. If so he’s a AA threat.  Nice to see Pepple find some success with MSU since leaving IU.  However he’s going to need to get an upset someplace to have a shot at an automatic bid. 

Love seeing McCormick become a stud for the Black Knights.  Keeps the  Indiana tradition of that program going.  Hope we can see him get some wins in Minnesota. 

 

We knew Lucas Davison was good, but he has blossomed earlier than expected.   If he can stay a little more consistent at Big10s he could nab himself a nice NCAA seed.
