SIACfan
That's pretty big news. 184 just opened up. I wonder if we will see some 174 & 197 guys switch to 184 for Nationals?

The guy who Tweeted the Zahid story (which has been confirmed by the University per other sources) also Tweeted the Daton Fix story. The caveat is that this guy has a reputation for taking a shotgun approach to news. He does not have a reputation for looking for corroboration. He wants to be first and does not care to much about being right. So he blasts a lot of stuff and occasionally it turns out to be true. Shocking..amiright?? I believe the press release from ASU said indefinite. And then there is this from the NCAA by-laws: 31.2.3.1.2 Positive Drug Test -- Non-NCAA Athletics Organization. A student-athlete under a drug-testing suspension from a national or international sports governing body that has adopted the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) code shall not participate in NCAA intercollegiate competition for the duration of the suspension. (Adopted: 1/14/97 effective 8/1/97, Revised: 1/10/05 effective 8/1/05) So that does not bode well for him returning in time for the conference tournament. wrestlenewbie
So the NCAA by laws I quoted may not come in to play after all. Just heard on Flo that they reached out to UWW for comment and UWW says he did not test positive at the Matteo Pellicone (contradicting the Tweet that broke the story). This matters for two reasons. Not knowing if it was a WADA or USADA test makes the by law application uncertain. And if it is not WADA or USADA it probably has no impact on Olympic eligibility.
