I like these. BTW... we don't use these at my school.

75, 80,85,90,95,100,106,113,120,132,138,145,152,160,170,182,195,220,245,275.

This what they use in Hamilton County. I like it ok because it allows kids to get used to the weights in HS early. The only thing that we have trouble doing is finding kids to fill both the 245 and the 275

It makes it so hard for our kids to start learning weight management when weight classes are different every meet and places don't have weigh ins.  We use for our home meets 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 106 through HWT are HS weights.

But our County Meet is different weight classes. 70-145 by 5's 155, 180, 195, 215, and 275 for HWT.  We use our conference tournament weight classes for home duals.  I really like using the HS weight classes it just makes sense to me.  We do the 2lb allowance like the HS season does too.

Middle school weight classes should be every 5 pounds up until about 150-155 so it maximizes the number of kids actually wrestling. We have trouble filling the extra weight class up top not the lower to middle weights.

We are the exact opposite... I have 22 wrestlers on the team this year yet I dont fill any weights lower than 110... 22 kids and I still FF between 7 and 9 weight classes depending on where we wrestle...

Hard to win any duels that way. Keep at it and hopefully you can grow that number.

Our middle school is 5th-8th grade.  We use middle school state weight classes with the addition of 70pounds.  We have 3-4 kids always under 70pounds.  We have 2 full teams plus more but thin from 175-220.  I would also like to see a more uniform set of weight classes for MS across the state.
