At 182, surely Walker being a four seed ranked #1 could draw someone ranked higher than 7th?

Kervin has as good as chance as any to win it all. Got put on back in the first period then pretty much put on a takedown clinic and came up just short. Not taking nothing away from Boe at all because I believe the same thing about him next weekend. I believe top 3 152 pounders at Evansville will place top 6. I also think all 4 at 126 place. 152 and 126 both could be amazing Friday night matches.

Who would Sollars (170) have first round , as a 2nd place from Evansville?

He could potentially have:

#9 Gabe Davin of Carmel (New Castle SS)

#13 Gavin Layman of Chesterton (East Chicago SS)

or

SS#4 Brodie Porter of Eastern(greentown) (New Haven SS)

All these wrestles finished 3rd and potentially draw in to Sollars who finished 2nd

At 152, 5 of the top 8 ranked in the State Rankings were at Eville SS.  The other 3 were at New Castle. Three of those 8 (Freije, Fitts, Law) didn't make it out of the Ticket Round.  I definitely think Kervin has a great shot at winning it all.  His draw could be the difference.  Does he draw Bryer Hall Friday night?  Brice Coleman Saturday morning?  We'll know soon.

As for 126, Hayhurst could face Brayden Lowery again Friday night... or Stephen Roberson or Dylan Stroud.  I'd guess his best shot would be against Dylan Stroud.  If he loses Friday night, he won't be an easy out for sure.

I also love the 170 group.  None of Deters, Sollars and Ruhlman will be a fun matchup Friday night.  Whichever of Sollars or Ruhlman draws into Calhoun Saturday morning will get the short straw, but won't be fun for Calhoun either.
