SWINfan Posted December 14, 2019 Share Posted December 14, 2019 Thought I would toss these in here as Notable results for former IN HS kids or Hoosiers wrestling in Illinois at the Walsh Iron Man, widely considered the toughest HS tournament in the country each year.... @113 - 2019 IN State Champ Brennan Cernus, now wrestling for Wyoming Seminary Prep lost in the Quarterfinal and faced Indiana native Sergio Lemley in the blood round. Cernus won 1-0 TB-1. He won his next match and then lost in the Consolation Semifinal and will wrestle for 5th Place. Lemley lost his first match and won 4 straight in the consis to get to the blood round match against Cernus. @132 Noah Mis, Chicago Mt. Carmel, finished in 8th Place @145 Manzona Bryant lost in the Semifinal and won the Consolation Semifinal and will wrestle for 3rd Place. @170 IN 2019 State Runner Up Andrew Donahue at Wyoming Seminary, lost in the Quarterfinal and will wrestle for 5th Place. I can see any of Ruhlman, Deters and Sollars taking the title. Today seems to proving there is no clear favorite. Sollars beating Ruhlman in the ticket round last year (after dropping at least one match in the regular season) is more evidence that anything can happen between those three. SWINfan Posted December 14, 2019 Share Posted December 14, 2019 Brownsburg finished 3rd at the Grappler Gold Invite behind Davison and Brighton HS, both from Michigan, Results for BB: 106 - Logan Miller finished 2nd 113 - Braden Haines went 1-2 and DNP 120 - Gavin Garcia finished 2nd 126 - Kysen Montgomery finished 3rd 132 - Satbir Singh went 0-2 and DNP 138 - Drake Campbell went 3-0 with two falls and a 10-0 major to win the title! 145 - Griffin Ison went 0-2 and DNP 145 - Nick Ciccarelli went 2-2 and finished in 7th Place 152 - Jacob Cookerly went 2-1 and finished 5th 160 - Peyton Asbury finished 2nd 170 - Greg Glover went 2-2 and finished 4th 182 - Jahmon Spiller finished in 6th Place 195 - Isaiah Street finished 2nd 220 - Leighton Jones finished 3rd, going 3-1 285 - Dorian Keys went 4-0 and finished in 1st Place - Keys win vaulted BB from 4th to 3rd Place, beating a Lowell wrestler.
