As always there will be a ton of talent at the IHPO. What possible matchups are you looking forward to?

These two are very intriguing...

Colton Drousias IL vs Zeke Seltzer IN

Drousias 2019 State Champion 113lbs

Seltzer 2019 State Runner-Up 113lbs

Drousias and Seltzer have both been All-Americans at Fargo.

Seltzer is currently ranked 6th in the country at 120lbs

Drousias is not currently ranked, however has been in the rankings previously.

Jacob Laplace IN vs Joseph Walker IN

***Teammates at Mishawaka High School***

Walker was 6th at 170lbs in 2019, a qualifier at 152lbs in 2018.

Laplace was a qualifier at 182lbs in 2019, a qualifier at 145lbs in 2018, 4th place at 138lbs in 2017

Walker has popped into the top 20 in the county, however is no longer ranked.

I hear “Hotcake” Harold Sorenson will travel form Wisconsin to challenge the living legend James “Flapjack” Flanders for the Midwest Pancake Eating Crown.  As the current title holder Flanders gets to choose flavor of syrup and I’m hearing rumors of Butter Pecan in an attempt to throw Sorenson off his game.  This is gonna be on epic eat-off.

Rusellburg lost to Dickens at the Mater Dei Classic and Noehre at the Wabash World Championship Duals this spring.

Knew about MD. Wondered who he lost to at those duals. Remembered he lost 1 there.

185 and 135 both just got a little juicier!

Wow, both Manville's entered. Which, didn't even know there was a younger one, or that Carson got that big. Hoping these kind of guys are the Minnesota connection Vega is gonna work for Purdue.

Here’s a question...  What’s more difficult to win, State or IHPO?

Last year 7 of the 2019 state champions participated
Winning IHPO titles were
Mendez, Moran, Rodgers, Allred, and Brewer

Others
Slivka got 4th and Littell lost to Mendez

In 2017 5 of the champs participated and only Brayton Lee won a title.
Asa Garcia was 2nd behind Travis Ford-Melton
Kris Rumph was 4th
Jordan Slivka was top 6 losing in the semi-finals
Jacob Moran was top 6 losing to Mendez in the quarters

IHPO because you win 1 match at state and place..A lot of really good wrestlers don't even place at IHPO.. Both are unbelievable feathers in 1s cap and your boy won both.. ...but I see where that's not always true with Carson winning IHPO and not placing at state his jr. year.
