Regional: Notable bracket changes and early upsets.

Figured information on bracket changes involving notable names would start coming in as weigh-ins approach. Then soon after we would be hearing about any early upsets involving semi-state ranked wrestlers.

A couple Ft. Wayne ranked 120s go down early. Thomas of Bellmont loses to Upchurch from Yorktown and Levitz of Prairie Heights takes a loss to Pfieffer-Laguerre from Concord.

We can add Fort Wayne 145 #8 Tanner Stacey losing a very exciting match. But I’ll take a rankings L there any day if it means a Jimtown kid gets to move forward.

A few I have noticed....

@145 Mooresville - Brach Carrington, Greencastle 8-3 over Camden Chatterton, Avon
@113 Evansville - Kameron Kendall, North Posey 2-1 over Logan Sutton, Boonville
@120 Evansville - Blake Boarman by Inj Def over Devon Casebolt, Castle - Not an upset just notable due to the Inj Def
@126 Evansville - Cameron Amento, Ev. Central by fall over Evan Overton, Boonville
@152 Perry Meridian - Cooper Noehre 7-2 over Sam Fair, Perry Meridian - an upset or just a match between 2 notables?

Been a lot but these are the ones I watched

113-KT Nelson over Ben Dalton

220- Aiken over Dodson 15 seconds pin

Is Nelson over Dalton an upset in your mind?  I saw that result as well, but wasn't shocked by it.  I just know that Dalton will be a tough 1st round match for a Regional runner-up (assuming he gets in done in his consolation match)

Rankings wise yes, I’ve watched KT wrestle like 12x now, Brownsburg schedule definitely helps when your seeing good competition every week being tested unlike a Monrovia team . I think KT skills was forgotten a bit by Mike and Evansville ranker guy. I think #17 and #5-6 in SS . He’s definitely someone to keep track of and definitely going to be a bad, bad draw for someone . He just beat Watson 6-2.

The (4) 113 here at Mooresville will be wrecking havoc in Evansville doesn’t matter who they face. Nasty group of kids .

A couple upsets from Perry Regional:

126 Sam Slivka (Roncalli) over #11 Ross (Warren)  8-4

145  #5 Graves (Warren) over #4 Aiden Warren (Perry) by fall.   Warren appeared dazed after head but and did not look the same.

220 Carlos Mitchell (Warren) over #15 Young (Franklin Central) 3-2

285 #10 Harris (Roncalli) over #9 Hubbard (Warren)  2-1

152 no upsets but a meat grinder... 1st Noehre, 2nd Coleman, 3rd Fair.  Semi State will be interesting.
