The Zebra
With the amount of talent out there, what are the odds of repeat champions this year, and with the high traffic of stud freshman’s in the state, do we have a chance at a freshman champion this year? I’ve been pondering these things now that the state series is upon us.
Jayruss
Jesse Mendez is a frosh with the best chance followed by Zeke who has a tall order in Moran. KoontzDaddy, The Zebra and Perseverance

Barring an upset, the should be one or the other at 113, a repeat Champ or a Freshman Champ. There are others that will have a say, but those two seem to be the clear 1-2. Dogs
When the sectional brackets are released there may be a wrinkle in the 113 theory....Little Birdie told me that 113 bracket at CP sectional just got a whole lot tougher.... I'm not sure that would threaten Moran or Seltzer. Zeke beat him pretty handily early. I suppose things do change.

Seems like a fairly clear 1-2-3 there, though there are some lurking in the shadows.

SIACfan
By repeat champions do you mean at the same weight or simply winning a state title 2 years in a row? Because my lock this year would be Nick South, the 160# Champ in 2018 to be the 170# Champ in 2019.
