Could be wrong, but Adams probably had even stronger numbers in 80s, 90s, and 00s.

Without a doubt. Bellmont had more champions frequently in those times and AC had more placers. Late 00s to current has saw SA contribute though. MackG
Thoughts from the numbers... There is something in the water in Adams and Delaware County. Hendricks County may not be the pound for pound winner over a ten year period, but at #2 in state placers behind Marion County the last 3 years, their trajectory is very solid and I know they have a pipeline of really solid youth wrestlers. Will they ever overtake Marion County?

Obviously, by looking at the numbers I posted, Hendricks is better than Marion County on a pound for pound basis over the last ten years. What I meant was, the last 3 years, Hendricks has really ramped up in the state placer department, and is within striking distance to overtake Marion, in gross numbers of state placers, in spite of the population difference So the question stands.... will they overtake Marion County? We will see what this year brings in only a few weeks.

If there one school for the entire counties residence that limits your numbers compare to several schools in the county. One school mesns a max of 14 possible entries a year where other counties with multiple schools would have many more entries. It also similar to the counties where only one school there offers wrestling. Sure other schools might exist but if they do not have wrestling it doesn’t help add the the entry pool. In summery as as many of you should already know not all counties are created equal in terms of population, distribution of residence, and number of schools. Mattyb
Well.... a little history lesson. It was 2015 when the four founding fathers @JMILL @DLane @TeamGarciaand @Mattyb were in a really meaningless group text and came up the (numbersign)TheCounty. Since then, our area has been on a rise on the high school level (after years of success at the youth level). Some call it a coincidence, but.... the numbers don't lie. Thank you to @Y2CJ41 for always having our backs and being our number one fan! Seriously... Really cool stats. Thanks for putting it all together. MackG
There is no doubt that Hendricks County has had very impressive results. And it is on the rise. State placers the last 6 years: 1, 9, 11, 12, 12, 13. And we all know the champs they have produced. This is great for everyone in the state because it motivates everyone to get better. I do know some people in Hendricks County wrestling that don’t fit this mold, so this doesn’t count for everyone... but the boastful attitude of certain folks is very motivating as well. Keep the hashtags coming. Please and thank you. Delaware County has fallen off some, as has St. Joe. Lake County has dropped too, but I think that will change in the next few years with the youth wrestlers they have in the pipeline. Coach Hawk is the man.
