I hope he doesn’t get poached from Indiana.

Why would he leave IN?  We are one of the few states with a single class system where he can be 'THE' State Champ.  Plus he has the chance to join the rare air of a 4x IN State Champ.

Best incoming class:

brownsburg: Ison, Miller, Steet...

MaterDei: Baumann, Hayhurst?, Nelson?

Crown Point: Mendez, Frazier, ??

(CP’s big in coming class will be in 2 years, should have 6 studs that will be in the lineup immediately)

Cathedral: Zeke, ??

Culver Academy:????

Portage, center grove, and Avon always have good middle school teams with some of those guys coming up.

Wherever Jesse Mendez is going automatically has the best freshman class, he is going to be a stud and competing for national titles. Future 4 time state champ for sure.

That always seem to be a popular thing to say when a stud hits the high school scene. Not saying Jesse can't do it, but nothing's for sure.

Both Cathedral and Roncalli have very nice freshmen classes coming in. Roncalli picks up some nice depth in upper weights from CYO St. Barnabas (Butts, Neu, Lewis) and rising 152lbers in Ashton Brandon from CYO St. Mark and Andrew Stuck from CYO St. Roch. I can’t remember if the younger Lowery is an 8th or 7th grader, but he’ll have an immediate impact too. I’ll say now Roncalli is most likely a Top 5 squad next year.

We won’t know total enrollment at Cathedral until admissions close next month, but just the depth coming in from CYO St. Simon with Zeke Seltzer makes for a bright future (Dickey, Braun, Gonzalez, Bragg). Both CYO St. Luke and Simon will be contributing greatly to the Irish the next two years and you’ll also get some McGinleys rolling through starting in 2 years from CYO Christ the King.

Defintely no where close to the incoming talent of “The County”, but we do alright for “The City”.
