base
I think the best way would be to mostly group the older weight classes with the new. 140 is the added "extra" weight and 195 is the weight that doesn't have a good counterpart from prior to 2012. I would split the 4 semistates if possible and within each semistate if it's the same wrestler you take senior yr over junior yr (so 2018 Parris > 2017 Parris) Seed each semistate by WinPct + Grade then fill in the brackets with some random matchups (maybe follow the 2018 IHSAA matchups for semistate vs semistate) I've got all the names I think I might try to do some brackets

The old 130-135-140 weight classes now are 132-138 and in the upper weights the old 189-215 is now 182-195-220. Taking the last seven, you can run them through an 8-man bracket with the top seed getting a bye. Someone with far more knowledge would have to seed them. Caleb Spires
I don’t see freshman Red over sophomore Micic, sophomore Stevenson over senior Hughes, or sophomore Lee over senior Red.

base
Beat me to it I was going to do last 16 years seeded as: 1. Winning Pct - shows domination in their weight class 2. Grade - gives advantage to more experienced wrestler 3. Number of state titles - advantage to wrestlers with continued dominance 4. Number of wins in a season Here's what the 103/106 bracket looks like: Jayruss

I'll try to do a different thread for each weight class to focus the responses. Some REALLY interesting brackets. Went back and forth on how to weight it for seeding but this seems about the best By the way, great idea @Jayruss Edited February 26, 2018 by base Jayruss
